I'm so looking forward to getting this microphone. So many vocalists tend to grab the Shure SM58 only because it's a legendary microphone. But what is it that makes the 58 so legendary? Most likely the Shure name itself. Yes it's a great microphone to have but in my experience the Sennheiser e835 was better. However both of the microphones cannot get my vocals through the mix too well, despite how loud I am in practice and on stage. The next step should be the Beta58a or the e935 right? Well sure, but the EV ND96 pushes out more volume before cranking the gain on the mixer and causing feedback. Simply because the beta and the sennheiser supercardiods only push out 2.0 pascals while this mic pushes out 3.4. I believe a lot of vocalist should research their microphones thoroughly before making a decision on their sound.
