I seriously love, love, love my vegan vanilla superfoods and I haven't had it in months! My husbands fave is vegan tropical strawberry, so we've been using that flavor for the past couple months. You could say I'm one happy girl today!
Eating well is a form of self respect. That may sting a little but be honest with yourself....wouldn't you agree?
I'm not saying you should never enjoy pizza and ice cream. What I'm saying is 80% of the time you should aim to feed your body the nutrients it needs and thrives off of for your health, for self respect, for respecting and honoring the body God gave you. 💜💛💜 I'm so grateful for the nutrient dense shake I consume daily...There is no way I'd be getting the nutrients my body needs otherwise because let's be honest....vegetables aren't sexy 😜
Being provided with the kind of friends who will sharpen us kindly- spur us on- and in return may we be that for someone else too.
So thankful I have been given the courage to be vulnerable here, learn to reveal authenticity in my walk, and be accountable all the while so I do not drift (because I really tend to drift!)

I NEVER thought I would enjoy waking up early to get some work in before classes, practices, and meetings get going. But when your passion turns into a business you WANT to work ALL THE TIME because you absolutely LOVE your "job".
What most of my weekdays look like:
-6 am: workout & PD
-7:30 am: Shower & get ready
-8:30 am: Breakfast (which is always my cake batter shake)
-8:45 am: work on coaching business
-10 am: get snacks/lunches ready
-11 am - 10 pm: classes, practices, meetings, studying.
Do I ever get overwhelmed, worried, and/or stress out? yes. But it is SO WORTH IT because I know this is my purpose. This is what God has planned for my life. Love people, support people, serve people, and bring His word to people. And I get to do it thru health and fitness & use social media as a postive tool to meet people from all over. It is truly the best "job" ever. 💙

It's not about how fast🏃🏼♀️ or how far you have to go, it's about digging deep and pushing yourself to keep moving forward. It's about finishing the workout even when you want to quit🙅🏼...you already started, so get a reward from it! Realize that when you cheat, you are ONLY cheating yourself. So break that habit, it won't do you any good. Don't stop when you're tired, stop when you're DONE👊🏼. And make yourself proud🙌🏼😍
Once I earned my white coat- I thought my days would change- less time studying, more time to do life...
But with each stage of life comes new challenges. I first thought- well my evenings will be free to get that run in or stop by the gym on the way home- but after 10 hours or so on my feet at the hospital... yeah- the only thing I could think of was going home.
And slowly, day after day- I grew more tired and realized I still had so much learning to do.
That day came when I realized I was putting in about half my effort into my own health while putting in 💯 effort taking care of others health- that would not treat me well in the long run...
So when I joined my first fitness accountability group- I saw other busy women- whose days were just as long- putting in their time early- like really early. Finally I put my excuses behind me and set that alarm clock!
I found a group of girls- many in medicine- who may not be able to gather to spend intentional time in person each day- but we sweat- we share in our group our wins- we encourage one another and spur each other on to each corner of this country!
If you don't have that sharpening group- and you need sharpening- come join us!
You have so much to offer not just to yourself- your family- your patients or students- but to so many other women who just want to look and feel strong!
Such a bittersweet moment when I think 💭 about this day 2 years ago. I was cleaning my house like a mad woman with the help of my mom to "prepare" for when this 👶🏼baby boy would make his appearance. Not only was I 39 weeks 🤰🏼pregnant, but I fully expected to be pregnant 1 week + yet. 😳
I remember going up and down stairs, bending, lifting and not holding back from doing anything that day💁🏼. In fact I remember loading up the pickup with cardboard and my mom on the phone with my brother saying "If your sister doesn't quit it and sit down, she's going to have a baby in the driveway!" 🙊
Well my mom left my house at 8:30 pm that night and at 8:35 pm(on the dot) I started having contractions and was in full blown labor 🙈. The rest of the story is such a whirlwind and I don't remember a whole lot to be honest 😏. •
It's fun to take a trip down memory lane though and reminisce on the times 💙. Me and Derreck can giggle as we both have two completely different stories of this evening 2 years ago 😂. What we BOTH remember is that when I said "It's time to go to the hospital NOW" he said... "Can I finish watching this football game first?!" 🤦🏼♀️🙈😂. We'll be able to joke about that for years to come!

I badly wanted to take a nap with the baby this morning because I haven't been getting to bed on time 😜 but I knew it wouldn't be quality sleep so I got up and pushed play. I gained energy, strength and offered it up as a prayer for the sick. I'm pretty sure offering up my nap wouldn't have the same effect 😂

This is exactly how I feel today when after booking our flights to Florida we realized we are on the same flight! ✈️ Granted they won't have slushies in the airport or on the plane but I'm sure we will be able to come up with something! 🎉🎉
What do you do with the last bit of coffee in the coffee pot?! I toss it in a mason jar and store it in the fridge! Cold coffee, chocolate superfoods and a splash of almond milk is one of my favorite ways to drink my healthiest meal of the day ☕️ #fritzfriendfit

As I climb into my upper 40's, ouch how did that happen, I am realizing more and more how important some sort of weight training is for me! I certainly want to keep my metabolism on fire as I get older so I can still enjoy the things I love and not have health risks due to weight! Unfortunately this is the time where bad choices in our past can start catching up with us! Fight it! You can!!
