Thanksgiving in Nebraska. Normally cold and cloudy, possibly snowy, so you can only imagine what a blessing a bright, clear, 60 degree day is! •
We enjoyed great company and food this afternoon with JR’s side of the family. The aroma and laughter was intoxicating. Afterwards, instead of laying on the couch in my normal food coma, I grabbed Nucky and we headed for the trails. •
Being a Rat Terrier, Nucky loves running in the tall grasses chasing bugs and searching for rodents. He’s s curious little guy. Today he occupied his time in a “marking” competition. Apparently he wanted to ensure every animal knew he was there. •
The trail is normally packed with bikers and runners on a day like today. Today, however different. It was beautiful and quiet, only the faint noise of the vehicles on a distant highway and light humming of the electric current racing through the power lines. •
Today I am thankful that I had another opportunity to take in Mother Nature’s beauty.
Happy Thanksgiving! We here at #goodlifelincoln are so thankful for both our beautiful city of Lincoln and for all of you, our wonderful followers! We’ve officially passed the 1,000 followers mark and are excited for all that is to come. 📷: @mandelislast
Thankful for all these seniors who’ve given us so much hard work and dedication. @chrisweber49 🌽🙏
Senior Chris Weber started as a walk-on and through a ton of hard work, will finish his senior year as a captain, leading the team in tackles. He’s a scholar on and off the field, with numerous academic awards, and he’s already been accepted into a prestigious medical school. In short, he’s an inspiration, and I’m thankful I got to spend a few minutes with him. Thank you so much Chris and all the seniors going out one last time tomorrow! ☠️ Outtake for @hailvarsity magazine 2017.
