XC has come a long way! Boosting the jumps and bombing down Barney’s with out hesitation or delay on XC race bikes wearing open face helmets, Lycra and no body armour. Not bad at all. Photo courtesy of @mrgormsby
Well..... that was the most intense 10 km race in history so far!! First race of 2018 was a cracker! Who would have thought so much could happen! I felt like it was an episode of bold and the beautiful! So many mechanicals, I was also the statistic, I made so many silly mistakes, and the 43 degree heat showed true determination in all the chicks who finished today! If it wasn’t for my back breaks breaking and crashing I think I would have been happy with my race. I may have not done well, but in my eyes I stepped out of my complete comfort zone and attempted something I was scared shitless and I am happy with that. Thank you to all the amazing chicks out there you were so supportive and we all had each other’s back. Thank you to @maxxyhobsonmtb and @margomarshall for your support in helping on the sidelines passing me my liquid gold. Lol
To my amazing coach @offroadtrisquad and the support of the sqaud, could not have done this without you and it was so great to see you at the end.
Thank you @bigmountain.bike for your ongoing support looking forward to 2018.
Thank you to @dietitian.approved For all your guidance!
The best thing about today has given me a lot to work on and I am excited about that! Thank you to @gcmtb and @mtbaust for a great race.
