CERITA DIBALIK FOTO:

Syrian Refugee Undergoes a Life-Saving Surgery in Jordan
Islam was only twelve when he was diagnosed to have severe basilar invagination. He started feeling a weakness in all of his limbs and became nearly paralyzed. Four years later, Islam was seen during a mission by volunteer pediatric #neurologist Dr. Scott Otallah, who advised #surgery for the boy. This week, the PCRF partnered with #Syrian American Medical Society and Molehm Team to cover Islam’s major #surgery to fixate his skull and upper cervical vertebrae to decompress the brainstem and spinal cord. The surgery was done at Istishari Hospital by Dr. Mohammad Hyasat. The PCRF helps children regardless of their nationality or religion, based on their basic needs, and hundreds of Syrian refugee #children like Islam have been operated on in 2017 through our continued #support .

#metoo so many times! I worked in a bar (I was #barkeeper ) and I #sung in a #hardrockcoverband The last was in 2013 a guy which I trusted 100% I grew up with him, we were 6 when we met for the 1st time. I was just out of #rehab I broke up with all #friends which were #hooked on #alcohol and #smack and #crackcocaine it was the end of the year! I hadn't seen that pig for at least 4 years, so we went out for a coffee! He was married and we had fun! The next day he came at my door late in the evening #drunk He was pushing me into my house and tried to rip my shirt off! I was so #confused he never did this before and he knew I was just out of that shit and felt lonely because most of my #clan were #hooked He used that against me! After the first shock I was getting so mad, I had learned some #kravmaga in the days I worked in the bar! He was #drunk I was #sober so I could get him out of my house! I used a grip that if he should try to escape he would break his arm! When he was outside I threw his jacket out of the 1st floor so he couldn't get me again! He yelled at me, you know it bitch don't call the #police you know who is working there! So they won't believe you anyway!! His dad was a #policeofficer ! That is the reason that I don't want a relation anymore! It's now 2017 and I am still #sober and clean from #crack unfortunately I have to take #methadone against my backpain bc the #neurologist has given me #oxycodone which is really #chemicalHeroin you need more and more to get the pain away and methadone is working longer and you doesn't need more to keep the pain away. If I should stop taking methadone I wouldn't take heroin no more but than I need another surgery to cut down a nerve which is courses that pain! I think me English is bad today! I am tired. I wanna share to all the women or girls who've been sexual assaulted or worser go find a #kravmaga#teacher you absolutely get more self esteem!

“Bullying is a huge problem in Dubai” British Mums article feat Dr. Fadwa
Discovering that your child is being bullied is a major worry and it’s understandably distressing to find out that there’s a problem. You can feel out of control and desperate to help resolve the situation. It may be that you suspect something is going on but your child isn’t willing (or able) to talk about it and what’s more, because the nature of bullying has changed so much over the years it can be hard to spot the signs or relate the situation to what you think of as bullying from your own childhood.
Some things to look out for include:
Does he/she show any signs of physical abuse e.g. bruises?
Are there changes in eating habits? Not just losing weight or eating less, but also eating more than usual.
Changes in sleeping patterns, e.g. over sleeping or disrupted sleep/insomnia.
Worrying about school or showing reluctance to go to school.
Complaining of physical pain e.g. headaches, stomach aches, or tiredness.
If you do find out your child is being bullied here’s what to do:
Stay calm and listen without showing judgment, or getting angry/upset.
Don’t hijack your child’s problem, as you will foster dependence.
Reassure them by explaining that bullying is about the bully having a problem not themselves. Discuss how some people will say or do nasty things because they want a certain reaction. Make
Go through the steps he/she can take on their own before, mum or dad step in.
Give them examples of famous people who were bullied as children or teens, such as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Kate Winslet, Prince Harry.
DON’T COMPARE YOUR CHILD TO YOURSELF WHEN YOU WERE HIS/HER AGE.
