January 2017: I set a goal to have a 500lb deadlift
December 2017: I hit 505lbs
I’ll admit when I first set that goal I was pretty pessimistic about it. At the time I was barely pulling 405, and 500 seemed impossibly far away, but it wasn’t

I heard this line over and over in my head until I finally put it down on paper. I came across this big beautiful tree on my walk and there were these long green tendrils hanging down. It felt perfect for the photo. What do you think my IG friends? ❤
Sometimes... love doesn’t look the way we expected it to. It isn’t as perfect as we dreamt it would be. Love comes in and sometimes hurts bc the weight of its force... it’s hard and requires a lot of work. It’s not as pretty and effortless as in the movies, and it doesn’t always fit into our wants and needs perfectly. Love is a choice, an everyday choice. Even when it’s bent out of shape, ugly, and hard... choose love. Every single day. Choose Love.
Post slightly hungover push day workout complete. Started off with squats and hit a clean PR of 335lbs. Just 5lbs off from getting in the 1000lb club (mix of squat, bench press, and deadlift added up to 1000lbs) besides that, the lean bulk is going pretty gooood. Planning on doing just mainly powerlifting at the beginning of the new year with more compound exercises such as barbell rows, pull ups/chin ups, over head presses, and dips. Compound meaning involving more then 1 muscle group, and very little isolation movements which mean involving one muscle. Just also remember, we're all in this together👊
Being fit is hard. Eating healthy is hard. Drinking enough water is hard. Counting macros is hard. Increasing your PRs every week is hard. Training abs is hard. Building calves are hard. Life is hard. If someone tells you different, they are lying.
Powerlifting, bodybuilding, strength training, weight training, aesthetic training, booty training, endurance training, keto dieting, flexible dieting, etc. etc. are not hobbies. Whatever the above preference might be, it’s a lifestyle. And lifestyles are hard.
Don’t beat yourself up because you had a bowl of ice cream or because you took an extra rest day one week. Allow yourself the mental clarity you need to stay in track. You owe yourself that. 💕

How will 2018 be different? Will you go for things that you didn't in the past? Life is full of opportunities but it is our decisions that either stop us or propel us forward. Don't ever hold back BC even if you are nervous, at least you won't have regret.
I challenge you to go for what you want and don't let barriers like fear, money, or others opinions hold you back! ✔If its fear, turn it into excitement 😁 ✔If its money, get resourceful and look for ways to make extra (Uber, Wag, Favor, just to name a few side hustles) ✔If its opinions of others, listen and then make your decision for you not them.

When I don’t feel like waking up I wake up
When I don’t feel like getting in the gym I get in the gym
When I don’t feel like eating healthy I eat healthy
Why? Because the goals I have require me to do so. If I slacked from these components I wouldn’t have a shot at my dreams
You have to visualize what you want and put in the necessary work or else it will never happen
And if you don’t succeed the first try GET USED TO IT. You’ll never obtain anything great on the first try
