Having some fun with isolation drills. We like to play with different movements while maintaining the same tension between us. The skill here is to move while always feeling relatively light. It gives a nice indication if you can move well together. Try doing it without verbal cues and learn to feel each others movements!

Happy December everyone! It’s my all time favorite season, and it just wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t spend at least a little time away from work reflecting on our blessings, and sipping cocoa with the kiddos. I’m also taking the time to perfect my skills by not only taking another birth photography course but also doing an in person class with @anabrandt in January( if you know newborn photography, you know this is a HUGE deal) #neverstoplearning I’ll be back in the office late January! See you then!

Last night I had a blast tuning @marcusfryracing ’s 510 beast and the icing on the cake was the experience I shared with Mr. Dino Fry from Dino Fry Racing Enterprises. My friends from high school are probably the only ones left that know I was good at rebuilding and tuning carburetors from Rochester’s, Carter, Holley, Mikuni and SU’s. While I don’t do much carbs these days it was refreshing to talk carbs with Dino last night. Dino and I shared so much information about carbs and cams that my mind was blown. I couldn’t sleep last night. I can only hope I equally blew his mind as I explained where and how the mechanical adjustments are controlled on a software program. While I’m not turning screws, drilling jets and machining metering rods these days, the basic principles still apply and more often than none, we tuners need to get creative. It’s a combo of punching keys and mechanics. It’s test, learn and repeat and test again. I’m fortunate to have met a new oldschool colleague who has been in books and videos and has held records. Looking forward to checking out his engine dyno operations soon. #humbled#talent#wisdom#alwaysevolving#neverstoplearning#continuousimprovment#kaizen You can barely notice in the 3rd pic. Dino was sitting next to me the entire time during the dyno session. Epic.
Overnight success is rarely overnight. The truth is every tiny step you take now will eventually get you there if you're consistent. You build and build and build, and then one day you look and it's built.
I have had an unexpected change in my view point this season that I think will impact my work pretty seriously...bare with me here...I’m the type of person who has a fun time decorating the Christmas tree with my family and then sneakily I put it all in it’s perfect place after the kids are in bed that night. Yup, I admit it. I like perfection, what can I say?! 🤷♀️ This year my husband was performing his annual shenanigans that involve throwing the ornaments at the tree just to see which will stick, our puppy was snatching the ornaments off of the tree as quickly as we could get them on and my sweet kiddos were painstakingly creating jumbo clumps of mismatched splendor. We laughed SO hard and had such a fun time! I was not concerned in the least knowing that I would re-arrange later as per usual. But...when I went back that night to redecorate (nog in hand) I was shocked to see that our tree was nothing short of perfect ✨ Beads strung in a haphazard fashion, gaping empty spaces where no ornaments seem to have found their way, jumbled piles of decorations barely clinging to the tippy ends of branches...and yet, all I saw was how beautiful it was. I love it ❤️ It is our best Christmas tree yet. Who knows what spurred me to let go of my expectations and gain a new point of view but, I think that it just might help my growth as an artist. I’m hopeful this means that I am a little bit more open and willing to accepting beauty, even when wildly imperfect🤞Merry Christmas friends! #neverstoplearning
