Humbly, I’ll say, I’m glad that the past 2 months, God has granted me the blessings to be able to meet with as much possible employers and network with a lot of different businesses. The best part about it is that, I had so many employers call and offer me jobs at once that I was able to pick, narrow down, give them a wait time, say no thank you, and pick the job I wanted most. 👏🏽✝️🎉🏛 I am officially part of a new team, but I want to give a big thank you for all the support y’all gave. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Pays off not to be a do nothing bitch 😏
Today I said goodbye to my first job that I’ve ever had as a nurse, I’ve learned so much and am so grateful for the opportunities that I’ve received and all of the wonderful humans I have met in the past two years. But, it’s time for me to spread my wings and try something new.... Monday will be my first day in a new hospital, in a new city, in a new state! I’m going to start travel nursing and couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure! Thank you to everyone for all the love and support while I’ve been contemplating this decision for quite some time, and I’ve finally decided to be like Nike and ”just do it”. 😉 #travelnurse#strokenurse#newadventures#newjob#adulting
I went for a hike on my way home from work today. I let the wind carry my collected milkweed seeds away, and thought of things I want to - and need to - let go of. Overcommitting and over promising my time, failing to set good boundaries of what I can and can't do, and in general just being a people-pleaser. I'm five weeks into a new job, and these things need to go, blown away to hopefully leave seeds of healthy potential in their stead. #newjob#schoolcounselor
¿Recuerdan que alguna vez les dije que extrañaba las cámaras y hacer televisión? Quién iba a pensar que se me haría realidad el anhelo fuera de los medios. "Look at us through the lens of a #camera " #camara#tv#newjob
When one door closes, another opens... I'm so excited to publicly announce I am working for Oscar de la Renta!
For two and a half years, I had the privilege to work alongside George Kalajian and his family (both related and not) at Tom's Sons International Pleating. @internationalpleating. It was hard work. But that work was extremely rewarding, and it set me up with an outstanding network and skill set, which I will be forever grateful for. I loved my experience with the people and exceptional quality of work being produced in the NYC garment district. And on a personal level, George and my family there were some exceptional quality people -- offering me unconditional love and support. I couldn't have asked for better.
Moving forward, I hope to have found an equally exceptional team at ODLR, but it certainly won't be any Tom's Sons.
My new position is in the production department -- so no I won't be designing any runway gowns. (And I definitely don't want to!!!) Just handling the hustle and 'bustle' of getting those looks made as an assistant fabric buyer for all domestic RTW goods.
So TDLR about my ODLR, I'm probably going to be no less MIA as I start with this new chapter of my life, but I will be incredibly happy as I look back and continue looking forward. .
