Morning writing in a large pink hat. I love how bright it gets here in Taos. So bright it hurts but you can't go back inside. Inside it's too dim and gentle. Give me the blunt blade of this impartial sky. #morningpages#pinkhat#newmexicosky
No matter where the road takes us, our family's always ready to go! When you travel the road less traveled, you can't just hope for the best, you have to prepare for the worst. Before any road trip, we make sure our family truckster is running like it should with Mobil1 motor oil from Sam's Club because we can buy all the oil we need for a full oil change, in one convenient box. Before you head out on your next trip, stop by Sam's Club and stock up on Mobil1 to get your car ready for the road ahead. #SCMobil1 http://lnk2.io/abMZBrM #ad
Did 2017 fly by to anyone else? This past year has been unique and filled with new experiences. From seeing different places, such as southern Utah, traveling throughout New Mexico, taking a swamp tour on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi, and camping in Portal, Arizona (middle picture), to expanding my business and scope, as well as meeting new people and strengthening current friendships along the way. And here’s my #2017bestnine , because that’s a thing you have to do in 2017.
Thursday evening I visited the Chiricahua Gallery in Rodeo, New Mexico for a special event. Just before the event began, a light snow dusted peaks of the Chiricahua Mountains as the sun set behind the mountains. I could not resist snapping a shot of this picturesque building amongst such a striking scene. —————————————————————
I am a member of the Chiricahua Gallery and have work on display, but this gallery isn’t like others.
The Chiricahua Gallery is a non-profit that features a multitude of local and regional artists and a variety of crafts. Inside you can find stunning jewelry, skin-friendly homemade soaps, woodworking, hand-woven scarves, ceramic ornaments, photography, paintings, and more! And they truly have a price point for everyone. Yes, you can find gifts under $10. But remember, this is a non-profit organization, so your purchases may help fund building restoration, scholarships, and more. ————————————————————
If you have any questions about becoming a member, feel free to reach out to me or the Chiricahua Gallery, or stop by. Business hours are Tuesday-Thursday 10-4 (closed Wednesdays). I’ll be hosting the gallery all day next Saturday, December 16, so by all means, come see us!
