I gained 11lbs during vacation, I should be back down by Friday. Even on vacation I workout and my cardio is walking from Treasure Island all the way down Luxor and back a few times just for fun. Don’t beat yourself up, try to enjoy life.

Shout out all the real single parents out there 😭 blah blah "we all have challenges" blah blah. I get that. But any single parent that still manages a workout, WHATS YOUR SECRET?! 😫 Having nobody to hand off to, even for a 20 min garage workout, AFTER they're asleep...is for the birds. I've been in temporary single parent mode for a couple weeks now and this was my first attempt (and fail) at any sort of workout. Counting down the time until I can have my workout time back. 🙏🏼🕘🕚
Honestly, the only time I ever want to train chest is just to bench. I do it, but it’s just not my favorite. It’s something that I put on the back burner. BUT, when @jeffery_alan wants you to train chest with him, ya just gotta do it. I definitely could tell that I need to step up my game. He put me through some torture, but I always have a good time lifting with him. -

Tonight I failed. (In my opinion) This was my 7th set & I was going for 475ld 3xs. I have been trying to build my leg press back to my old PR of 600ld.
But sometimes you won't succeed. Don't be afraid to fail. Be afraid of not trying. If your dreams don't scare you they aren't big enough.
I won't stop till I PR at 600ld again, but then I'll crush that and keep going. Never settle.
When your gym only has dumbbells that go up to 70lbs... you ADD BANDS! 💥👏🏼 Adding bands to any workout is extremely beneficial! -Explosiveness ✅

When people decide they want to change their lifestyle to become healthier there are generally two major focal points they feel need to be addressed: diet and exercise.. granted they are not wrong, but there is a very huge (very important) component missing and that’s your mindset. If you’re stuck on your journey it could be as simple as switching up your routine that changes the game. Here is a great shoulder finisher to add to your arsenal. Since I’m not bulking I like to separate quads and hams into different days to give each one more attention. My goal is to add some quality separation between each muscle. Hopefully I can get my upper body to grow a little while my legs are maturing. Then when the bulk comes around it’s back to two full leg days a week. I woke up late, so this is pretty much my entire day after meal prep, then work at 10pm. 😅 Hope everyone else has had a little more excitement!

Here is a little trick to really hit those hammies using a band on a Lying Leg Curl Machine.
Using a band this way puts extreme amounts of resistance on the very beginning of the movement, and also pulls hard on the negative part as well.
THIS is sure yo light those hamstrings on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Comment if you have tried this or what to try It!

Tempo squats today at 4040.. which means 4 count on the way down/eccentric & 4 count on the way back up/concentric.
These will certainly humble you if you’ve never done them before. Check your ego & try a few sets of these slowwwww & controlled. Always move the weight using proper form-technique - starting at your core & to each extremity.
Surround yourself with people that will inspire you to be a better person... people who will provide you with motivation to achieve your goals and people who will empower you to make the changes you need to succeed and that will cheer on your success.
