📍Ngoc Son Temple - Hanoi,Vietnam
Hanoi's most visited temple sits on a small island in the northern part of Hoan Kiem Lake, connected to the lakeshore by an elegant scarlet bridge, constructed in classical Vietnamese style. The temple is dedicated to General Tran Hung Dao (who defeated the Mongols in the 13th century), La To (patron saint of physicians) and the scholar Van Xuong.
| Day 2 in Vietnam (Hanoi) - Ngoc Son Temple |
I remember walking around Vietnam on the first full day and being really horrified that a ticket to enter a temple was $30,000. Of course, that’s when it clicked. Vietnam’s currency goes in thousands and 30,000 dong is equivalent to only $1.50 in NZ 🤦🏻♀️ this is going to take a while to get use to....
At least we’ve gotten a little use to Vietnam’s crazy roads. I reckon that it helped that we went China first 😂
