Wouldn’t you just love a wee snow day tomorrow 🌨 mostly because I am petrified of driving on those county roads in the morning! No food photos today as I was too rushed this morning to take a decent breakfast shot, too scundered in a new school to take a decent lunch shot and too starving after spin to wait for my phone to charge so I could take a decent dinner shot. I literally had beans and a few pieces of cut up sausage so nothing too exciting!! Ps this is obviously from the snow day before Christmas 🕯🎅🏼 (even though I had to work that evening...)
We had the SCARIEST drive home from my mum’s house. My mum lives in the country on some pretty dodgy hills, but I’ve been driving them for over 10 years so I don’t normally get phased. Tonight though I was genuinely scared. Of course this one couldn’t care less and just wanted to play in the snow. -
Snow is super pretty to look at but our country is really not equipped for it. The main roads are such a disgrace, especially considering the weather warning issued days ago. -
Nights like this really make you grateful for what you have, imagine those people with no homes to go to or no heating. It’s absolutely heartbreaking.
❈ WERK ❈
Yesterday I had a KIT day at work, and it’s really had me thinking about what it’ll be like when I do go back to work properly. I have 5-6 months of ML left but the return to work is looming and no doubt it’ll be here before we know it. I don’t know how to feel about it. On the one hand Niamh will be looked after by my mum and I’m really happy that she’ll be with someone who adores her and they’ll be able to develop their own little bond together. But then on the other hand I’m afraid of missing out on so much. How do you working mamas do it? Also, these next 5-6 months are really important so if you’ve any recommendations of baby classes or things we should do, or any advice from your own ML, id love to hear it 💕#nimum#nimummy#mumblog#mumblogger#mumbloggers#mummyblog#mummyblogger#mummybloggers#niblogger#niblog#nibloggers#mumlife#workingmum#maternityleave#baby#daughter
New Year's Resolution - wear more neutral colours! 🤞🏼You've probably noticed this borg trucker jacket all over Instagram, I even bought one for my niece at Christmas. As soon as I received @missguided parcel I quickly wrapped it to resist the temptation of keeping it. 😂 I knew the snow ❄️ is on the way that's why I ordered one for myself too. 😜
Swooning over these stunning earrings from @littlepearlco 😍
Imagine these teamed with a black dress....let the earrings do the talking 💁🏼♀️💎 #littlepearlco#lilyrose#lilyandrose
Today we woke up to snow, and the city has turned into a magical winter wonderland ☃️❄Today I am very grateful for calm, slow work days, my fluffy dressing gown and endless cups of hot tea 💕🌬 Did you know that practicing gratitude every day significantly improves your mental health? What are you grateful for today? #gratitude#belfast
My sunshine ☀️ .
I don’t think I’ve ever said in my nearly 8 years of being a parent that I’m struggling. And oh boy I can sure say that now. I think it’s a combination of things, the older two are at school therefore we have 2/3 school runs 5 days a week. Then we have clubs 3 nights a week & 1 weekend morning. A demanding toddler who is putting the terrible with a capital T in “terrible twos” who now hates sleep and a 6 month old who is a gem most of the time but lately isn’t fond of sleeping either, therefore I’m getting very little sleep. I think that’s my main problem, when the kids go to bed at night and finally fall asleep I want to spend that time by myself or with Sam and ‘chill’ where in reality I should really go to bed and try and get a good nights sleep, but then I feel like I’ve had no break from the children if that makes sense?
Last night the two babies slept all night and I felt great this morning for it, Theo also spent the day with his granny which is what we both needed I think as he gave me all the loves when he got home. Considering buying a sleepyhead or alternative in hope it might help this little poppet sleep as she use to sleep all night in her Moses basket. Here’s hoping. .

“May today be the day you run through the wilderness of every worry and collapse into the clearing of grace. Grace to carry on. Grace to trust in the unknown, as you bravely tell the stories of where you have been, and as you boldly pursue the journey of where you will go. May you learn to embrace the freedom that has long been calling your name as you liberate courage in others so they can do the same.”- Morgan Harper Nichols.
Simply inspired by the Goodness of God// today has been all about God, Goals, Growing & Glowing.❤️
What's your personal style? A lot of people ask me this and to be honest I never know what to say. Some days I love dressing girly in pink and glitter and sequins, then the next day you'll find me in Docs and Polos 🙈 My motto is just wear what you love, doesn't matter what's on trend or what anyone else likes 🙃 #fredperry#niblogger#irishfashioblogger#mystyle#ootdstyle
✨Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette ✨
I have had this beautiful little eyeshadow palette for a while now girls but have only got proper stuck into using it this last few weeks and it is fab, it has 18 gorgeous colours, eight mattes, six pressed pearls, three Duo-Chrome toppers and one pure glitter.
I love love love this palette girls, it could be hit or miss for some people depending on your makeup style.
This palette will be best suited for someone who likes using their shimmers with a dampened brush, fingertips.
The mattes are quite pigmented and go on nice and smooth, the fallout is very little girls which I love in eyeshadows – nothing worse than half your eyeshadow falling on your cheeks!! They are super blendable
The Pressed Pearls can be used alone or layered over the mattes. The consistency of the formula is creamier and slightly denser, but the eyeshadows never felt stiff or difficult to pickup on a brush. Some do not appear as metallic after blending as they did initially. They are also really pigmented a staying power is fab.
The Duo-Chrome Toppers are “ever-changing illusions” so the colours are designed to shift. Huda recommends blending these “into the base shadow with a brush or apply with finger to maximise the reflection.” I have found using a wet brush and my fingers the best method.
Honestly, this palette is gorgeous.
The pigmentation the shades the smell, the packaging 🙌🏼 great for any make up addicts xx -Swipe for pictures-
I chatted about this little beauty from @yourgoodskin a few weeks ago on my blog. I was lazy last week and didn't use it (or any of my usual skincare products) at all and boy did my skin notice! Only three days into using my favourite cleanser again and my skin has gone from dry and dull to soft and dewy once again. This cleanser removes all my make up with minimal effort, feels super luxurious and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth! The gel turns into a milk when you splash water on your face and comes off so nicely. It is just such a treat. •
ENJOY a third of this gorgeous cleanser with code YOURGOODSKIN5. Thank me later 🙌
Just wanted to share a fantastic, easy, delicious curry for a very cold day like today.
Green Thai curry-
•chicken cut into chunks
•green Thai curry paste •chicken stock cube
•sprinkle of sugar
•coriander (fresh, dried or lazy)
•veg (onions, courgettes, peppers etc)
•1 can coconut milk
•heat oil in frying pan/pot and add green Thai curry paste when it's nice and hot (add the paste according to how hot you like it or to the packet instructions) cook for a few seconds
•put chicken in and cook
•throw veg in
•crumble in chicken stock cube
•pour in coconut milk and 4 tablespoons of oyster sauce
•add coriander. Sometimes I use lazy coriander, dried or fresh. Whatever you fancy. •crush the lemon grass to let the flavour leak out and throw them in. •put lid on the frying pan or pot and let it simmer for a good hour. This will allow all the flavours to infuse.
•if adding courgette add it 30mims before you serve it, otherwise it will be very soft and mushy. •season with salt and pepper if you think it needs it or to your liking.
This is super easy and super tasty. My young boys love it.
