Waterford v Galway
All Ireland Hurling Final 2017
Croke Park Dublin
3rd September 2017

Title " To win just once"
Historical final between Galway and Waterford
Cheering on my county of Waterford as she seeks to end a famine of 58 years where we attempt to win the all Ireland hurling final for the first time since 1959.
A sad sentimental time for the Waterford side of my family where the great Seamus " The Hammer" Power a major figure in Waterford hurling and apart of the waterford all Ireland winning teams of 48, and 59 died last year aged 87. His brother Sean won a all Ireland medal with Wexford in 1960. Sean had to leave Waterford for work and so took a job in Wexford, he was so good playing for a local Wexford side that he got picked to play for Wexford. He was always in the shadow of his older brother.
Top Left Seamus Power and Philly Grimes.
Top Right Waterford Flag and a poster Caman the Deise ( caman is Irish for Hurley) Deise is a historical area of Waterford.
Port Lairge is Irish for Waterford.
