Tonight I sat down and started writing lists galore. I benefit greatly from following a clear map of instructions, even for small things, but I haven't been organizing my days and holding myself accountable like I should have. I encourage everyone to try this if you find yourself frequently distracted or not using your time effectively. The daily schedule is a must do, I only include the basic things I do every single day such as walk the dogs, get ready in the morning, etc. and allot a certain amount of time for each to keep me on track. You can make smaller lists individual to the particular day and work them into your master schedule. Other lists I have include recurring chores assigned to each day, accomplishments, future goals, and lists of needs/wants. It may sound excessive, but it really helps, especially if you are naturally disorganized or struggle with discipline. Just remember, you are in control of the structure of your day if you want to be!
What is the number one catalyst for change? It’s action. Understanding may be able to change minds, but action changes lives. If you take action, it will change your life and that change will begin changing others. I hope you will take steps to put yourself fully into your story and begin writing a life of significance. From the moment you start, it will have a positive, lasting effect on you.
In life, it's not what we get that makes us valuable. It's what we become in the process that brings value to our lives. Action is what converts desires into reality. It brings personal value that we can gain from no other source.
What task keeps popping up on your “I should” list? I want to challenge you to develop the discipline of doing in that area. Every time we choose action over ease we develop an increasing level of self-worth and self-confidence. It is often how we feel about ourselves that provides the greatest reward from any activity.
When we live our lives for others, we begin to see the world through eyes other than our own, and that inspires us to do more than belong; we participate. We do more than care; we help. We go beyond being fair; we are kind. We go beyond dreaming; we work. All because we want to make a difference.

So this was TONS of fun shoe shopping with Calvin this evening for basketball shoes. Bending over, sitting on the floor, crawling to the next aisle because I legit couldn't stand up without some help 🤣 It made for some laughs and an extra trip to the bathroom 😂🤰🏼 And someone please tell me how he wears a size 13 😳

Yes, it's kind of subjective, but a few things are so quintessentially Cincinnati that, left un-shouted, they tend to blend into our beautiful landscape. Here are a few Soapbox favorites. Spoiler: there will be (some) chili.
Despite our award-winning accelerator programs, creative flight has always threatened Cincy's talent pool. Leaders like @wearemortar Allen Woods want to rectify that by building an intentionally diverse, welcoming ecosystem where ideas can thrive. And it just might be working. #startupcincy
Wheeeeeeew, and it’s only Tuesday! Schnikes. Busy, busy, busy couple of weeks in store. Had live class sessions last night to outline a few of my upcoming school projects and it’s like a race. That feeling of excitement yet there’s so much to research - got to keep perspective of things and break each section down into steps. More on those later, but in addition to school, I have speaking opportunities for a few local organizations so lots to prepare for and time manage.
With that said, I haven’t had much of a body comp. update because frankly I haven’t been focusing too much on exercise lately. It’s weird to not feel so preoccupied about exercising but at the moment with school and business, it’s helpful with my time. I don’t feel guilty for not doing something everyday like I used to. Nevertheless, weight has continued to trend down slowly that I’ve actually begun to reverse. Nothing drastic but enough food volume to keep me focused and lean while exercise isn’t much in the picture. That’s a wrap for this week’s update! Time to get school shit done!
Some place work mixed with play from the other day. Maeve does lots of duration work, but it ups the challenge to throw in a motivator such as a favorite toy. It also allows her to practice deescalating quickly and when asked. This can be a great exercise for dogs, just make sure your dog has a clear understanding of duration work and has been worked through any major behavioral issues before introducing play :)
