Having been working out solidly for the last few weeks, I have found myself in a bit of a funk exercise wise! We all know I have a love hate relationship with #bbg and I was hoping I'd feel more inspired by moving to #bbg2 unfortunately this hasn't been the case and I've been finding any excuse under the sun to try and not work out! I hoped the weights element would motivate me more, resistance workouts at the gym are my workout of choice but I do struggle to get to the gym at the mo while Rosie is in her "mummy is the only one who will do" phase 😂 I've been stalking @activelyrees since she changed offer to @alexia_clark home workouts and they seemed to be a lot more varied and there's minimal jumping and way more weights! Best of all there is a home and gym option each day so I've bitten the bullet and signed up! So looking forward to my first workout tomorrow morning! Will report back and let you know how it goes! In other news Rosie and I went Christmas shopping today and got some funky headwear for the Christmas dinner table❤️ and here's my 12 week starting point photo xx
This dog training collar has been great for Bella. We just have it set to beep mode (no zapping) and she stops her bad behavior immediately. I suppose it doesn’t hurt that she relates the beep to the eventual zap she got from our invisible fence.
Finally back at the gym today 🙌🏼🙌🏼 This week was a real struggle I over worked myself one day and injured my back 😫 after being furious with myself and eating my body weight in carbs everyday 🍕🍫🍪🍔🌯🍨 I got back to the gym this morning 😁😁 Definitely no jumping movements at the moment but I will be doing weights and then slowly work my way back up to being able to do jumpy things and mentally not being scared to hurt myself again!

Sasha was introduced to tug with rules today. The rules are: 1. Only put the toy in your mouth on cue (take it!). 2. Let go of the toy on cue ("drop it" or "out"). 3. Take breaks to practice obedience behaviors. 4. No teeth on human skin or clothes during tug! It's kind of a myth that you shouldn't let dogs get excited, amped up, or play with intensity. If a dog is not careful with their mouth during play (and they maybe bite you when jumping for the toy 😮), it's more important to teach them impulse control, and to be very careful and precise with their mouth instead of removing play all together. Tug is a fantastic way to exercise your dog physically and mentally! It gives them a legal outlet for instinctual predatory desires (in other words, playing tug doesn't make a dog aggressive or predatory) like stalking, chasing, biting. Go ahead, play tug with your dog! Clean Run has really fabulous tug toys. Don't leave the toy with your dog, it's a toy that only comes out for a cooperate game of tug, or as a reward during training. Ask me if you have questions about tug! .
Normally I teach drop it by having the toy just go dead, and rewarding when the dog drops it. This works really well! There are a couple reasons I'm doing it this way for Sasha, only one is that she's SO big and strong it would be tough for me to keep the toy still and "dead." So I'm saying "drop it" FIRST, then tossing treats so that she will soon learn that the words "drop it" predict treats on the ground, and she'll be spitting out the toy in no time to search for treats.

Besides my adorable kiddos, I really enjoyed the fact this program is FULL of modifiers and only one OBNOXIOUS person intensifying 😂
Ya know how most workout videos it's a screen full of super fit people making this 60 seconds of cardio look easy-breezy while you are DYING?! maybe there's that one modifier on the screen you can follow?! This is the opposite. A screenful of R E A L people and only one annoying fit person 😉

We had a mishap this weekend as a result of mason jumping on the bed (Which he of course was told many times not to do !) 9 stitches later he's ok and we are hoping his ear heals well. #allboy#nomorejumping#thiskidistomuchlikeme
