🌸🌕 Loving you is easy as the heart sings into your heaven
Come kiss me sugar before the snow melts
Stunning visions before the mirrors a flame sparks
As two white doves in eternal faithfulness weld us together
Standing an adoring torch within a breathtaking ray of sunlight
Dreams that were answered, within soft tenderness beauty and love
Always when you enter number one smiles
Love's paradise ruby wine flows warm
I will forever find you interesting sweet dreams
as you make me forget everything that lies behind
Many moons searching distant horizons
Coming out slowly from the light my dear
As I stared into the stars thoughts within you entered
Brilliant beauty a miracle dawns new horizons
Darling captivating your precious light holds me
Each time seeing you is like I have known you a lifetime beyond anything
We travel down the starlit path only for eternity
Heaven's whisper creating our future and dreams

Today, it has been one month since President Snow's death. He was quite the ruler, but not the one Panem needed. Panem needed a strong leader, that would create order and equality for everyone. With him gone, we can finally establish that. He will be missed, by his family members, including myself. As his cousin, I was able to love a lavish life in the capitol but saw over the horrible things that happened. Coriolanus was never one for mercy of those weaker and more powerless than him. He favored those with money and power, a weak attribute for a leader. As I said, he will be missed but it was needed for the good of Panem, for him to perish.
Although we are overjoyed at the deaths of the major rebel forces, we must still honor them. They put up a very good fight. Frankly we were not completely confident that we would win. Of course, we pulled through. Capitol sweetheart Finnick Odair, and real life sweethearts Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark all died, along with a few others. Stay tuned for a special broadcast of me, speaking of my views on their deaths and the course of the war. I am now 100% confident that we will win. The rebels have lost their leader, and chaos will break out. We are sure to win!
DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea)
A somewhat surreal experience. With the tragedy of the Korean War and the separation as a backdrop, a whole tourist industry has developed close to the border. Busloads of people are carried from one sightseeing spot to the other, companied by annoyed busdrivers and bored soldiers. It’s a no man‘s land with not much to see yet a fascinating experience in its own right. And besides all the DMZ souvenirs you can buy at every corner and the short view you get of North Korea from Dora Observatory, you occasionally get a glimpse into the real tragedy of the war, its victims and the hope for unification. Close to the freedom bridge, which connects both countries but is blocked right in between, this barbed wire fence is full of wishes for a better future by relatives of Korean War victims and of a united Korea. It doesn’t seem likely at the moment but as a German I too grew up in a separated country and unification wasn’t really a possibility... until it suddenly was. With history on your side things sometimes can go very fast. I certainly hope the people of Korea will be as lucky as my country was... .
Left a yoga class this morning that was focused on cultivating gratitude in the new moon feeling full of love, only to receive a call that my uncle had passed away. My uncle Larry, who was humbly raised on a farm in Wisconsin with his five sisters, bravely fought for our country in the horrific Vietnam War where he survived being inside a tank that exploded and received a Purple Heart. He then returned home to begin a lifelong battle with pain, PTSD, substance abuse and a slew of other health issues stemming from his exposure to Agent Orange. The timing of his passing between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving is an ominous and symbolic reminder for me of the importance of family, health and community. Unfortunately my uncle is just one example of how the traumas of war affect its soldiers and their families for generations, and if we for one moment ever claim to be "patriots" we must put the health and care for those fighting for us at the utmost level of importance. Perhaps war is a necessary evil, but then so must care and compassion be, for all living things. Many men in Larrys situation have ended up homeless, addicts or mentally ill, and as a society we have failed them. The men and women who fought for us and have seen the most atrocious things a person can see so that we don't have to, we have turned our back on. Veterans issues have been given much more attention since Vietnam, but it's still not good enough. We must do a better job of providing support and resources to help our veterans and all of our brothers and sisters through all of life's struggles. "When the peace treaty is signed, the war isn't over for the veterans, or the family. It's just starting." 🇺🇸🖤☮️#newmoon#energyshift#gratitude#bravery#realpatriots#protectvets#veteransupport#veteransforpeace#veteransday#veteranmemorial#vietnamwar#purpleheart#agentorange#ptsd#nomorewar#fightforpeace#peacenow
Nov 17th is World Peace Day!⠀
Not to be confused with the International Day of Peace. World Peace Day was started in the late 90s by Don Morris of Miami Florida, this day was created to encourage us to make the world a better place. Don suggests we teach our children and others to promote peace and avoid war. Without peace, the consequences are tragic! ⠀
Please do your part to promote peace on this day. If we all act on this issue, we theoretically could make war and strife obsolete.
