Before this playground was built, Hilda, a Syrian refugee, and her children had nowhere to meet and socialize with their neighbors.
With Mercy Corps' help, Hilda worked with others in the community to create a playground — a space where families can gather, talk and play.
Mercy Corps brings Syrian refugees and their host community neighbors together to participate in conflict resolution training. Through this program, refugees and community members learn together how to solve conflicts productively and discuss projects that could improve their now-shared community. Mercy Corps helps bring those projects, like the playground, to life.

Amazing human beings from different walks of life and at various moments in their career/post-career came together for one cause - to support the people of Honduras. Over 3100 patients seen, 730 glasses distributed to help people see, 14k+ prescriptions filled : these are just some of the numbers from the trip. Thank you to all for you support and donations and good vibes during our medical mission. It has been truly a blessing and I wish for a brighter future to everyone, everywhere. ~~~~

There are some women all over the world who have impacted their community, but are not celebrated. Today we want to celebrate an amazing #Adiva JYOTI PATHANIA. She moved from #mumbai to #pune after her marriage and soon became a focal point for all distressed women - rich women beaten up by their husbands, maids abused by the men in the family and many more. She started an organisation called CHAITANYA MAHILA MANDAL And a counselling centre called KUTUMB SAKHI. Resource: the wanderer.

We at The Artful Vision always try to celebrate most of the festivals to keep the children well informed of the cultural diversity in our country!
Last Saturday, the children celebrated Makar sakranti/festival of harvest which is celebrated on the 14th of January all over the country!
We planned a combination activity this time with the kids. The kids created their own personal mandalas and then decorated their kites with it to keep the festive spirit alive! Mandalas are sacred geometrical images which have the power to help focus and elevate our minds. Children love to draw and paint with colors, and drawing or coloring Mandalas is one of the best ways to turn this favorite past-time into a yogic practice - into meditation. 🏵🎨🏳️🌈
They showed their innovative and artistic sides by creating absolutely stunning mandalas and sticking them on kites making them vibrant and glittery.✨💜✨
The celebration ended by them playing with their own personal kites, filling the sky with different colours which created such a happy mood all around!
