Everything on our Earth is connected. Macrocosm to microcosm, layer upon layers, doing a multitude of functions to benefit all of us.
Upon my path of becoming a Holistic Nutritionist I learned what an impact food choices have on the Earth as a whole and by eating a certain way we could greatly reduce our impact on natural resources AND create vitality in our lives.
What you choose to eat doesn't just effect you. That isn't something that came across my mind prior to being vegan. I had a total disconnect of where my food came from, I believe that is part of the problem. The impact animal agriculture has on the Earth is tremendous. We've already caused irreversible damage. Just by not purchasing animal products you are lessening your impact and doing something to change the system. Showing respect for the planet that sustains us all can be truly fulfilling. Recycling, conserving water, walking instead of driving, energy saving light bulbs are also great thing we can do but not participating in animal agriculture is number one.
Food is something to be honored the way it nourishes us and enables us to have the energy to accomplish the things we need to. Thank your food for all it does for you. Food comes to us from far aways places and goes through many hands on the journey to our plate, another example of connectedness 🕉
