I don’t even want to post this but I’m doing it for some motivation. It’s been way too long being lax about my health and fitness journey and I’m ready to make a change. I’m at the highest weight I’ve ever been and some of you followed me when I was at my lowest weight on this journey over 2 years ago. I never thought I would get back to this point but I did and that is my own doing. Yes I struggle with binge eating but this was not all from binge eating. It started with binges and then it turned into months of not caring and then years of being discouraged from getting back to a point I didn’t want to be to today. I️ don’t want my weight to define me but unfortunately in some ways it does. I want to be healthier, happier and yes, thinner. I will get there! Thank you all for sticking with me. My #5perfectdays technically started Saturday but since yesterday was a fail I’m going to be perfect through Wednesday and then Friday. I’m weighing in on Saturday so hopefully I can balance out yesterday’s mistakes and Thanksgiving dinner by being perfect the rest of the week.

Exercise of the Day: Weighted Toe Reach

This exercise is good to work the mid and upper abs.  Be sure to keep your back flat and only raise your shoulders. Look up to make sure you're lifting with your chest as opposed to rounding your back. And as always, keep your core tight and activated throughout.

Today's leg and core workout: * 1-mile warm-up run

Confession time: I hadn't been in the gym in two weeks before this morning. I had been really kicking myself because that's not how I operate. But I decided not to stress myself because things happen and I knew I'd jump right back into it. I also didn't stress it too much because I was still active and on my feel a lot during that time. However, it sure felt good to be back home this morning. I was a little nauseated when I left but it still felt good. I'm sure my legs aren't going to be nice to me tomorrow but I'll take that punishment for falling off. I earned it but I'm back. LOL

Today I started off the week by weighing myself! I am not a big fan of the scale. 🚫 It comes with too much stress and doesn't accurately portray the hardwork I have put into becoming a healthier person. I weigh myself to continue seeing progress but not to rely on that as the only measure. Well today I am down another 7.8 pounds which totals my weight loss at 18.8 pounds since starting in September! 🙌🎉 This is the most weight I have ever lost on a program and wanted to keep going! It's a lifestyle change for me not a diet. Changing little things in my life has made a HUGE difference!

OK...that may be a bit extreme (or not 😉), but the fact is the number on the scale does not mean a thing. 
The phrase, "Muscle weighs more than fat" is NOT true. A pound is a pound. BUT muscle DOES have more density than fat.....a lot more. So a pound of fat takes up more space than a pound of muscle.

Most weight loss systems will go after weight first because they know what people are initially looking for. The problem is that those systems cannot be maintained or the results sustained so they breed a following of "yo yoers". I used to be one of them... PLEXUS on the other hand is a cleansing system that works from the inside out, targets PURE FAT not muscle. You will often lose volume before you lose weight.

The root issues are addressed: weight gain, excess fat, & getting healthy from the inside out.  Healthy is the key! You need to drink half your weight in ounces of water every day & be consistent with taking your Plexus products.

So PIYO workout done... this is a mix of yoga & pilates. But with push-ups & burpees. Low resistance but still a sweatfest. And this is what happens sometimes when i workout. I could have “treated” myself to an extra hour of sleep this morning. I could have “treated” myself to a nice fun workout. I mean, come on, it is my birthday after all. .

But what did I do? I challenged myself. I started day 1 of a program that I have feared for a long time. Today, on my 37th birthday, I started 21 day fix extreme! The name alone intimidates me. Extreme doesn’t exactly have a nice ring to it. .

So I print out the calendar this morning and what’s staring me in the face? Plyo! I hate Plyo! Nothing but jumping for 30 minutes! Oh, and not just jumping, but jumping with weights!!! .

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t immediately have second thoughts about doing it! But I sat with those thoughts, those doubts, and I just acknowledged them and then let them go. I told myself that I’m a badass and can do anything I set my mind to. I promised myself that I would continue to push myself forward as a celebration of another year on this planet! And I got that sh*t done!!!! And my legs are killing me. And I’m a sweaty mess. But I feel very accomplished and ready to tackle a new day, a new week, and a new year. 😊💪🏻❤️

Kept it simple for dinner tonight.  It all of a sudden was 7:00 and I just didn’t feel like anything. 
So!

I sautéed up 2 cups Trader Joe’s cauliflower rice stir fry (3 sp) and added some roasted broccoli and mushrooms to it all chopped up.  I baked 3 @gardein seven grain crispy tenders (3 sp) with the veggies and just plopped them on top. 
Super tasty chick’n and ‘rice’ bowl for 6 sp!

31/30 for the day.

I’m going to color, finish off my water, and call it a night. 
Here’s to a new week—May it be less stressful and filled with small victories.
