Wow, rough morning.  Rough week.  If you have a digestive condition, it’s the part of your life you don’t like to talk about much.  This week I’ve had the worst gut relapse in nearly 4 years.  Yup, I cried about it this morning, not going to lie.  But when you hit bottom, you can only go up, right?  It’s so frustrating when you are a healer, yet struggle with your own healing journey.  Sometimes it just takes time…and patience. When you have a conditional of the large or small intestine, sometimes the foods that heal most people can cause you harm.  Like prebiotics and fibre.  Amazing fibre in vegetables that feed your bacteria to keep your microbiome happy and healthy.  But if you have bacteria living in the wrong places, it feeds them, too, and that’s when fibre most certainly is not your friend.  This week during this flare up, I am relying on lots of healing fats, organic meats, and gentle leafy greens for my nourishment.  Like this, the most beautiful lettuce I think I have ever seen, thank you @abelandcole - it’s glorious!  I’m inside on this rainy day, creating, no longer feeling sorry for myself.  I truly believe the storm will pass, and I have the tools and knowledge to get to the next step.  But we all need a blanket and a pot of tea day, no? ☕️🍂☕️🍂☕️🍂

My advice for beginners: Its great to look up to people on social media and follow their workouts but sometimes certain workouts are too advanced when you are completely new. You will also hear about tracking calories and macronutrients which for a complete novice it may be overwhelming. So here is my advice when starting out and trying to keep it simple before moving on to more advanced techniques:

🍎Nutrition🍎
Start with some basic knowledge of portion control.
➜1 serving of protein is the size of your palm
➜1 serving of carbs is the size of your cupped palm
➜1 serving of fats is the size of your thumb
➜1 serving of veggies is the size of your fist
🔅Try to make sure every meal has protein and veggies. -
🏅Exercise🏅
These are very basic and simple guidelines
➜ If you are starting off and are very overweight around the obese level try to start with being more active in general. That could mean taking walks and working your way up to be able to go for longer walks and faster paced
➜ If you are overweight also try to be more active and if it helps at first, keep the weightlifting with a simple breakdown of cardio, upper body, lower body, rest day and then repeat the cycle. It doesn't HAVE to be like this but it's just to give you ideas of how you can divide your workouts at the start. -
🦁Mindset🦁
For ALL levels
➜ Focus on behavioral changes. This can apply to anyone at any fitness level. We all have certain behaviors that need tweaking such as tendencies for emotional eating or social pressures to drink. Analyze how you respond in certain situations and come up with a positive alternative to correct the poor habit. By correcting poor behavior you will notice changes both physically and mentally ➜ BE PATIENT. I don't advertise quick overnight changes, I promote sustainability. At first progress can be relatively quick but down the road it slows down which is normal. Don't give up at the first sign of a struggle, push through, make it happen ➜You have to WANT it. You can have the gym membership, supplementation, meal prep, cute clothes and personal trainer but all that means nothing if you don't want to truly change and put in the work.

I am somewhere around halfway through my 16 week challenge. 
And I find myself experiencing different things. First, is how amazing I feel. How I wake up energized, and fall asleep within minutes at night. How in the gym, my endurance is incredible. My body truly reacts well in all aspects to the nutrition it’s receiving. Then, there’s the physical part. We are human and our own worst critics. Some days we wake up and feel nothing has changed. At times, we look in the mirror and wonder “can I just snap my fingers and look the way I wanna look?!”. Here’s the thing. Your body can and WILL do whatever you ask of it. You take care of it, you nourish it, you push it to new  limits in the gym, it WILL respond. And it is. Trust the process. Embrace the change. Can you believe it's the last freaking week of September?! 😳 We're less than a week away from October and 14ish weeks til 2018! 😱

Now is NOT the time to slow down on your health and fitness goals. If anything NOW is the time to start, re-start or ramp up your action!

Think about it.. 👉🏽 if you go modest and lose 1 lb a week: you'll lose 14 lbs by the new year. 👉🏽 Focus a little more and lose 1.5 lbs a week: that's 21 lbs by the new year
👉🏽 Focus hard and lose 2 lbs a week: that's 28 lbs by the new year.

Puts it into perspective and makes it feel realistic and doable doesn't it?? I lost the majority of my baby weight during the holiday season so if I can do it, so can you!! Oftentimes people are offended or upset or taken back by things others say and do. However, I have always felt those reactions are a choice. If someone criticizes me or displays hatred towards me, I can choose to be offended, I can choose to dismiss it entirely, or I can choose to ask myself if perhaps there are valid reasons for those actions. Whatever the case may be, it’s still my CHOICE. .
I can honestly say no one has ever offended me in my life. I will not allow another person’s words or action to have that type of power over me. I choose not to feel harmed by things of that nature, therefore I am not harmed. It’s not always easy to employ this type of mindset, and we seem to live in a time right now where everyone is offended by everything😜 But if you can begin to see you have the ability to choose your reactions to the things that life throws at you, I believe you will have a happier, more peaceful existence😇

The difference is now I look back and think positively, I see someone who was dedicated, unaffected by outside negativity & had a one track mind. I don't look back and see a better body but a different mindset. My priorities are different now & that's OK. A few years back, one of my online coaching clients declared, “Extremes are easy; moderation is so hard!” And how right she was. It can be much easier to mentally wrap your mind around the idea of going all out. Moderation can feel uncomfortable and incomplete, like there’s no way we’re doing enough for any meaningful progress to occur. 
But it’s more important to stop thinking of shedding body fat as quickly as possible and rather start doing what you can consistently stick to. 
You might be surprised to find that you can achieve some extraordinary results with moderate behaviors practiced month after month. 
Get comfortable in the grey area. Put in the reps. With plenty of dedicated practice, you can become a master of moderation.

Chop one big red onion, 2 gloves of carlic and 1/2 curlyflower and fry. Add 1 yellow paprika and 1.5 dl of bell beans and 2dl of kidney beans. Le lundi c'est souvent repas végé pour laisser mon système digestif au repos , de temps en temps sa fait pas de mal de se passer de viande et de protéines animales pour l'équilibre acido-basique et quand on a un peu abuser le week end et les intestins en vrac c'est la meilleure solution 😊

Today marks the official start of #SelfLoveWeek with @iammelwells and today our challenge is to say one thing we love about ourselves!

So here we go... one thing I love about myself is my ability to sparkle & glow!🌟 I honestly feel like most days I act like summer and walk around like there's glitter in my blood and I thrive off positivity!🤗 Not every day is easy to feel like this but I love seeing something beautiful in everything and everyone even when the skies are slightly darker
.
People ask how I'm always so happy and it's because I notice the little things in life like the changing seasons, the guy that holds the door open for you while you walk through and the bus driver that waits while you're running in heels down a hill so you don't have to wait another 15 minutes!☀️ There is so much to be grateful for!🙏 I can't wait to see what everyone else loves about themselves today!

Most people when they start training always ask the question.. “should I take protein ?”
Simple answer ... YES ‼️

Probably the most popular question I get as a personal trainer & working in a supplement shop. 
Majority of females especially are scared to take protein because they think “it will make me bulky”.
That is a false statement, the only way
You will get bulky is if your calorie intake is in a surplus, which is when you eat more calories then you burn. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Why should you take protein ? 
There are many reasons as to why you should take protein & I will list probably the 6 most important reasons below.
👉🏼 Helps preserve muscle when you’re in a calorie deficit.
👉🏼Increase size & strength, protein to your muscles is pretty much like what fuel is to a car.
👉🏼Reduce hunger- a whey protein blend of whey isolate & whey concentrate will have fast & slow realising protein so it will keep you filling fuller for longer.
👉🏼Fight cancer - various studies have shown that those who consume a higher amount of protein may help in fighting cancers such as prostate & colon.
👉🏼Improves immunity- those who consume protein have a lower reduction rate of glutathione levels.
