They're back: our pickled quail eggs! Our organic quail eggs swim in that salty, tangy good-good magic brine from the masters at Backyard Brine @backyardbrine Limit one per customer. Three flavors: dill, habanero, and smoked jalapeño.
Salmon dressed up in greens and lemon sauce!
We never get tired of this combo in our house and it's a perfect meal if you don't have much time to spend in the kitchen. Steamed filet of salmon with greens, sprouts, home made lemon sauce and a drizzle of lemonpepper and parmesan 😊💚
Prepare the salmon (cook, steam, bake etc) the way you like it. While it gets ready you easily whip together this yummy lemon sauce. You need:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour (glutenfree: use 1 tablespoon rice flour and 1 tablespoon millet flour)
4 dl chicken stock ( you can dilute two cubes of stock in 4 dl boiling water)
Juice of 1 lemon
2 dl cream
2 tablespoons butter
Salt & pepper
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and whisk in the flour. Add 4 dl chicken stock and whisk while bring to boil. Pour in the lemon juice and cream and let it simmer for 5 min. Remove from heat and whisk in 2 tablespoons of butter and salt/pepper and serve while hot. Tastes great with salmon and also with chicken. I sometimes add a little chopped fresh basil to spice it up a little. You can freeze the leftover sauce and save it for a busy day😉
