Gantry Plaza Park. This Long Island City park is so wonderful! It has some amazing views of the NYC skyline, big wide paths excellent for running around or scootering with your kids. There is a really cute playground and bathrooms. It's quite easy to get to as well, the 7 train stops at Vernon Blvd/ Jackson Ave (no elevator though, sorry) or you can take the NYC ferry (only $2.75- same price as a subway ride) and see the city in all its splendor. Then head east to Vernon Blvd for some amazing LIC food! Tip: Go with a friend!
Today was def one of those New York City days. Also I realized yesterday was my 5 year New York-aversary so that's exciting (and crazy at the same time). When I originally decided to move to NYC, I'd tell people I'd be here for "3-5 years" and here we are. With no plans to leave yet ❤️
aspirations: This here beaded Chrysler Building (bracelet, stage left) *aSPIREs* to wrap around your wrist. (earrings, stage right) *Upon completion on May 27, 1930, the added height of the spire allowed the Chrysler Building to surpass 40 Wall Street as the tallest building in the world and the Eiffel Tower as the tallest structure. It was the first man-made structure to stand taller than 1,000 feet (305 m).
