if you’re from New England, or have ever lived into New England, or have even just visited New England in late September / early October, you know there’s this one very specific day. you wake up, and suddenly everything has turned. the leaves are slightly more orange, the air is crisp and feels sharp in your lungs. summer has become autumn overnight, and the season of coziness begins. my dad always knows that this day is approaching, and so he collects extra firewood and the ingredients for our favorite family recipe - Boom-di-yay. he’ll light a fire, put on a Red Sox game on mute, turn a Marc Cohn CD on, and fill the house with the smell of cream and tomatoes and noodles. it’s incredible. last weekend I had this feeling that the season change was happening here, so I made Boom-di-yay for the first time by myself. and now you can too, because the recipe is up on the blog today (link in bio ☝🏻). happy fall! 🍁🍂
It has been an inspiring last couple of days for "Tarsan" and "Jane!" We are grateful to have listened to and met some beautiful, intelligent minds. .

We couldn't agree more. Thank you for having us @seattleinteract!
This super tender Pressure Cooker Garlicky Cuban Pork from Melissa Clark’s newest book, DINNER IN AN INSTANT, bursts with cumin and garlic and is marinated with grapefruit and lime for a bright pop of citrus. We’re tucking ours into soft tortillas but we hear it pairs just as well on top of a bed of rice. Grab a copy of Melissa’s collection of recipes for pressure cookers, multicookers, and the Instant Pot® wherever books are sold, or try a recipe on the @nytimes Cooking App.
I've recently discovered that Cassoulet is an ultimate autumn comfort food. Eating this rich, velvety stew is as satisfying, as getting under a blanket with your favorite book. I'll make sure to cook plenty of it during this sweater weather season 🍁🍂 Thanks @tourisienne for making this great dish for @eatfeastly team! We all loved it :)
Looks Vanilla. Not Vanilla. What is?🤔
Poppamallow!🍿⛄(Where's the marshmallow emoji?) Buttered popcorn flavored ice cream + marshmallow creme. All organic. Super small test run coming soon to @industrycity . Some say, "It tastes like Frosted Flakes®." So familiar, but...not. #uncanny
I've been super neglectful of the 'ol insta we've been away, school holidays, busy busy busy. Today I decided to get ahead, this is the NYT mac and cheese recipe. I've made it before and it was delicious, but I've never frozen it, so fingers crossed it turns out ok. We'll have this with some salad tonight and the rest will be stashed away for nights when I can't be bothered and don't want takeaway.
When your dinner looks more stylish than you. Can you say, showoff? 6 ounces of grilled swordfish sitting on top of a pistachio molé sauce, finished off with a healthy swirl of zucchini + summer squash salad, lime vinaigrette, shaved pistachios and cilantro. #stylepoints#swordfish#showoff
🍴Sumac Cumin Roasted pumpkin seeds🍴so so addicting especially if you're of middle eastern background 🤦🏻♀️ you know how important seeds aka "bizir" are. When you're watching tv, when you're drinking tea with friends, or even if you're just hanging out solo 🤷🏻♀️ snacking on seeds is just something to do🤣Well these are going to change the snacking seed game. Got to sneak my camera behind the counter for early morning bakery action @theablebaker ! Was so much fun. If you think it smells good walking by at 7 am, at five in the morning, it's just bananas. Well- I mean, there was serious banana bread happening, so I guess that makes sense :)
