On our list - Milford sound. Not just for the cruise but also for the drive there. ( best seats are near the driver) The cruise is shorter than you expect so dress warm and stay outside and take it all in.
We have been asked about our favorite places so today I will list them. Mount cook would have to be on the list. The hooker valley walk is meant to be a 3 hour return trip. It will take you longer if you take photo or stop for lunch at the lake. I would suggest going at 10 and staying at the lake till the sun drops behind the mountain... if you go in winter.
One week in Queenstown, this is how I would spend it. Firstly I would make sure I had a view of the remarkables when waking up🏠- that's the skyline side of the lake. It's an incredible view that never gets old 😍🏔If you can find a place close to town it will save you the frustration of parking. #
A day up the gondola, ride the luge, have the buffet lunch watching the scenery change and walk in the woods.🍰🥖 Take a drive to Glenorchy on a clear day. Leave at about 10-11. Take a book to read on the jetty. 🚘
Spend a day on the TSS Earnslaw, walk around the boat and enjoy the history, the view and the piano player. The BBQ lunch is sensational and there are a few animals to enjoy. ⛴
Lunch at the Botswana butchery and make sure you leave room for dessert. The creme brûlée was incredible. 🍮
Take a tour to Milford Sound. It's truly beautiful. 🛳
If you go in winter spend a day up at the snow. If you go to Cadrona the chef at Mezze cafe does some delicious meals. ⛷🎿🏂
Take a drive to Kingston one afternoon. It's so pretty. 🚙
If you have a day left, head to wanaka. 🚌🍷
What did I miss??
P U K E K O crossing, only in NZ 😍😍
Seriously this sign makes me smile every time I drive past it, ever since my friends husband decided to set his neighbours pet Pukeko free back into the wild 😊😊 be free Pukeko be free hahaha 🐥🐥
