Some see food, but I see a soul. I used to believe animals were for my own personal pleasure, but now, I couldn't see it farther from the truth. This is a pig, it is not bacon or a sausage. It is not part of a particular diet, it is a living, breathing, loving, playful creature of this earth. How detached and ignorant was I to believe this animal ever wanted to be eaten. When we consume animals, we consume cruelty, fear, and abuse. We promote and perpetuate evil. Being vegan isn't just a "fad," it's changed my life. I know I'm doing the best thing for my health, significantly helping our environment, and have cleared my conscious. My spirit feels clean, and my heart is bigger. If your morals and values don't match your eating patterns, take some time for introspection. We cannot afford to live our lives blindly anymore. We can't afford to turn our eyes when we see something wrong, or cover our ears when people are speaking the truth. This is enlightenment. I am connected with this earth, to the beautiful fruits and veggies that go into my body everyday, and every life around me. I am fueled by awareness. I've been on both sides, and I'm here to tell you that the grass is greener on this side. 🐖🐷🐮🐔🐥💗

Yo lo uso solo una vez cada 15 días o una vez al mes y me resulta bien, no abusó de su uso semanal porque tienen a resecar un poco la piel. Les sugiero que después de exfoliar su rostro usen alguna crema hidratante especial para su tipo de cutis.
Recuerden no exfoliar su cara a a diario porque pueden resecar la piel y no tendrá ese brillo natural.

Gluten free bun, quinoa and sweet potato patty with an oil free cashew sauce and avocado. I've learned a lot about health since starting this. I used to cook with so much oil, and I was obsessed with chips. I learned that my cravings for potatoes are totally okay if I'm having crispy oil free baked potatoes, and that there was a reason I craved them! They give you energy over a long period of time and the body so easily digests them. I also learned that things don't taste as different as I thought without oil. I loved carmalizing onions, and super crispy food, but I'm starting to think that sounds unappetizing now. Anyway, I've come a long way form my vegan junk food eating days. Vegan snack: cucumber salad with homemade ranch, and pumpkin soup from the PlantPure Kitchen cookbook! 🥒🎃🍎 Swipe over for the soup recipe, & the ranch recipe is:
1 TBSP Tahini
1 Cup unsweetened soy milk
3 TBSP fresh lemon juice
½ Teaspoon onion powder
½ Teaspoon garlic powder
2-3 Teaspoon dried dill
1 TBSP Nutritional Yeast
1 TBSP Spicy Brown Mustard
½ Teaspoon fine sea salt
- Adjust seasoning to taste
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and process until very smooth and creamy. Pour into a container and chill in the fridge for an hour or two, so it gets cold and thickens. 🌿
On-the-go lunch today consisted of a flavorful potato-tempeh patty with a slice of roasted eggplant and some Trader Joe's eggplant spread on an Ezekiel English muffin
Patty Recipe 👇🏼
1. Steam 2 1/2 cups of diced potatoes.
2. Finely chop tempeh and crumble with hands (into rice-like consistency) and bake for 15 mins at 375*F.
3. Sautée 1 cup diced onion, 1 cup grated apple, and 2-3 cloves of minced garlic with 1/2 cup water, 1 Tbsp Bragg's Liquid Aminos and herbs / spices of choice for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
4. Add mixture to bowl of steamed potatoes and add in 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast and 1 tsp liquid smoke.
2. Mash potatoes and onion mixture together, while slowly and evenly adding in tempeh crumbles.
5. Form 1/4 cup patties and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 mins (at 375*F).
7. Remove foil and broil for about 5 minutes for crispy edges.
