So, almost exactly two years ago to the day, Ann Kessler (our dept. head at Valpo and master costume designer) told me that I was not allowed to bite my nails for November's production of "Mosque Alert". There wasn't room in the budget for me to get my nails done professionally and they had to look nice for my character (lol @ the bright blue polish I had on during tech week that were so obvious against my pink jacket so I wouldn't bite them 😂). I am so thankful she helped me (also see: scared the poop outta me) get over my terrible addictive habit. It has been a long, arduous road, but now they are so durable and I am happy. Having long nails has also seriously derailed my ICD (dermatillomania) and I am so thankful.
I also have my onsite interview with Yelp! on Friday, so I wanted to treat myself with a good luck present (and a little carmel macchiato + color coordinated cake pop) before the big day!!!! Keep your fingers crossed, y'all!!!! #2years#allnaturalnails#opaque#nochip#millennialpink#cakepop#goodluckcharms
This is the finished thing that I posted practice strokes of yesterday! 🌺💗 The #paint dried a little patchy... despite the several layers on each #flower petal lol. It was harder than expected to get this paint to be #opaque on the #blackpaper !
