I think “it” had to happen before I was inspired to paint “it.” “It” happened to kill my open studio yesterday and I’m kind of mad at “it.” But I’ll admit that “it” is pretty and I had a bunch of cookies left to power me though the day. This is a 30x40 work in progress. “It” will need another pass for sure. ❄️❄️❄️
It's a winter funderland in my studio! SWIPE RIGHT to see my studio⛄❄☺️ I've been preparing all week and my studio is totally transformed for a magical morning event and elegant evening affair for my wonderful collector's parties today. 🎊 Getting to share my creative space with you is something I’ve been hoping to do for years and now I finally get to! I'm so thankful for your support that makes it all possible for me to create my artwork in my rainbow sanctuary! 🌈 I'll try and do a livestream during the party tonight so you guys can have a peek too. 😉 So watch your feed notifications lovelies! Btw if you'd like to sign up for invites to my future studio events just email firstname.lastname@example.org and have yourselves a great weekend! 😊 #winterwonderland#festivities#funcouver
Thank you very much to all the fabulous people that visited this weekend... it was so busy I didn't take any photos of any of you and of course I had to exhibit the #capeofempowerment in the #shippon where we used to keep the cows who had just had babies on the perfectly sized old ping pong table. Mucked out and cleaned the shippon of course!
It's been heart warming and fun to see so many fantastic people up North in my home village of Styal .... all who so brilliantly support my work and have an insatiable appetite for silk!!! #styalladies with #style
Natural and denim blue scarves #womankind have all gone in large, all spontaneous coral scarves 'Doctor who's' have gone.... all Coral pink have gone... all because I love you green have gone! AND TWO large bottles of sherry and 35 mince pies! Woooohoooo! WELLDONE all!
Billy fox climbed up my plan chest and polished off the remaining 5 mince pies whilst I was folding up the cape. What a cheeky opportunist!!! 🐻🦊!!! For those of you who didn't make it because of the snow ... we missed you and there will be another next Spring.👍🏼🍷🌲🌈💛⚡️💪🏼💋🌷🌸🌻🐝
Kiln opening last Saturday morning a tense Moment when we heard a horrible scrapping sound as we slowly pulled out the trolly of the kiln to. reveal a kiln full of pots in-front of a gathered audience. A torch comes in handy at moments like this ... we discovered a middle stack shelf had moved and it took a bit of rescuing pots before we could remove the offending shelf .. thanks to Darren and Dom for working carefully while I explained what happened to our guests .. but it wasn’t long before it was all sorted and we could pull the trolly completely. It was on the whole a pretty good firing , a bit under reduced in places at the back but generally Evan soda .... Many thanks to everyone that visited and made last weekend so Special ....We are still open at the pottery for the next two weekends if you would like to visit and pick up a pot or two !#crafts#studio#studiopottery#soda#firing#openstudio#makersgottamake
Thanks for the fantastic evening on Sat night! @centreandthesouth @teeandtherefugees killer sets, was really feeling the vibes.
Just finished the review of the music! Check it out here:
Here's a primer for you all: "The set was ended on two new tracks, firstly one called Fighting, dedicated to the memory of a close friend to the lead singer that recently passed, there seemed to be extra spirit in this one with the horn line nearly bursting at the seams with sound during the chorus, making a real lasting impact. The song was a rich combination of the funk horn lines and reggae undertones they seemed to be aiming for, perfecting coupling the reggae drum line with funky bass and guitar melodies. The final song Trouble really brought back that classic reggae form they were so well versed in and an excellent track for Centre & the South to end on. Not only did it have a catchy hook and horn line, complemented by relaxed guitar parts, it was also played with incredible gusto, ending the night on a high-powered reggae tune which will be hard for those who attended to forget." #openstudio#livemusic#lovemusic#melbournemusic#indierock#reggae#music#musicreviews#reviews#record#australianmusic#gigs#gigeveryweek#centre &thesouth #tee &therefugees #melbournegigs#drums#bass#horns#guitar#marley#soul#funk#vocals#tune#tracks
