"Second Day in Florence"
Painting has always been such a great way to reorganize the past in my head. This painting was created as I was reflecting on my trip to Italy a few years ago. I created it as I remembered certain details, painting over certain areas along the way. This particularly was from the second day in Florence. It was an exciting time which made it even more enjoyable to paint.
I am happy to say I just finished this piece tonight! It has been and exciting painting to work on. It started off as A Sketch from someone walking downtown in Portland, though as I kept working the image kept evolving. It is always rewarding to start with an original idea, and to see it become something better than you had imagined.
