For the last nine years, I RARELY practiced self care. I thought it was selfish and took away from my kiddos..making me a bad mom. From what I knew of self care though, I honestly thought that it had to look a specific way. You know, eating healthy, going for a run, working out, painting my nails..the normal, common, every day sort of things that you hear everyone talking about.
But the thing is that I don't like high-cardio workouts. I enjoy running, yes, but my hips hurt if I run for too long, so I physically can't do it anymore. I don't like to paint my nails because after years of being a massage therapist, I prefer them to be short, clean, and without polish. •
I would feel massive guilt anytime I took time for myself. Not only that, but I was doing things that didn't even bring me JOY. Totally takes away from the point of self care, doesn't it??
In learning how to express my authenticity, and in regaining my authenticity & personal power, I've realized that there's SO much more to self care than I ever thought. It's about honoring yourself and doing the things that freaking light you UP! It should be something you look forward to and that brings you joy and excitement!

昨日の夜ごはんと、今日作った抹茶と小豆のマフィン。豆カレーは、ルーを使わずにクミン、コリアンダー、ターメリック、カイエンペッパーを適当に入れてトマト缶で作ってみた😃スパイシーで美味しかった〜🍛🍴😋塩揉みしたケールと、冷凍しておいたじゃがいも餅も一緒に😋😋抹茶と小豆マフィンは、友達が送ってくれは抹茶VIAと、ココナッツシュガーで炊いた小豆を入れて焼いてみた〜一晩寝かせて、明日食べよ〜っと😍味見で1個食べたけど😋I made Beans curry with Kale which grown by Ireland and potato cake. And Matcha&Adzuki beans Muffin.This curry is made of Chickpeas,Adzuki beans,Carrot,Onion,Garlic,many Ginger,Canned Tomato.I added cumin,coriander,turmeric,cayenne pepper,salt.
It's spicy🌶😆But I loved it!!

Breaking my day fast with this delicious organic beet & 🥕 juice 💕
First I was simply going to dive into the yummy Asian cabbage salad I talked about in my stories 📚, but then I thought it through and realised I need to start with a nice colourful 🌈juice....I've spoken many times about the benefits of juicing --one of them is that it's so easy ok digestion so breaks the fast easily...
As far as why a 1 day fast? 🤷🏻♀️
Well to let it simply I want to give my digestion & body a break...having suffered all my life from tummy troubles I've realised that it feels better when I give it a break...
But there are other benefits...a one day fast:
✅improves energy ✅helps to eliminate toxins ✅has anti-ageing benefits as studied by Dr Longo at USC
✅helps to lose weight
In my stories I shared a bit about how in Ayurveda, Agni is the sacred 🔥 fire within & is the gatekeeper of good health. Likewise Agni in digestion is essential for good health. So having a one day digestive reset is one of the best ways to encourage good health. Now instead of a water 💦 fast even eating a monodiet for one day can help get things rebooted...anyways water fasting works for me (I also have a few pounds to lose) but I'm not a doctor it's best to do ewhat works best for you & your dosha.
Now re: the side effects. Yes I was dizzy and tired but at the same time was able to focus with clarity. Also I managed to get a lot done today....with gym, laundry etc. It's best to relax but as I have a busy week had to get things done which I did ☺️
