Today leaves me with bittersweet feelings as we say farewell to another summer share season at the farm. Over the last 20 weeks the farm has brought many savored moments of calm and peace to my life. And, it has brought me the laughter of three silly souls are now connected to mine. Friends that don't mind bugs or dirt or hiking to the top of the hill that overlooks the splendor of it all. We meet here every Wednesday with the common goal of doing what it takes to help the farm sustainably grow & maintain a wide variety of quality organic veggies distributed to 250+ families each week. Work for a greater good than your own & you'll be surprised at how much of that good karma is returned to you. 💖

Steamed veg in tomato, olive chilli sauce topped with kale freshly harvested from a friends garden this morning.
Purple sweet potato, asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli
Sauce: passata, stuffed olives and fresh chilli

🌃Dejar las semillas en remojo toda la noche, en un frasco de vidrio de boca ancha cubierto con un tul y una bandita elástica.
🌇A la mañana, escurrir, enjuagar y dejar el frasco en posición de 45° (para que drene el agua y entre oxígeno)
♨️Enjuagar las semillas 2 veces al día hasta que hayan brotado🌱

Made this delicious soup today for the first time! This soup is called sunchoke pear soup. Basically, sunchokes are a root vegetable and are considered Jerusalem’s artichoke because it tastes much like artichokes. I used @earthbalance vegan butter, onions, sunchokes (peeled and diced),sliced pears, salt and pepper. Try this recipe yourself!
