🍕ISSA REVIEW TIME🍕 What’s up Pizza Pals? Cheese Chums? Bread Buddies? It’s been too many days since I shared another pizza review with you all, so (hopefully) the location I picked tonight will make up for it! Without further a-dough, let’s gooooo:
For tonight’s review, I decided to venture outside of the UCF-area and try something that TONS of you have told me about: @official_pizza_bruno 🍕 This #OrlandoMade joint boasts a Neapolitan style slice, and created pies that are perfect for one person to comfortably enjoy. Under the guidance of fellow Orlando-lover, Jenny DeWitt (aka @townie_tourist❤️), I decided to get here early before the nightly crowd rolled in. This is HIGHLY recommended for anyone who wishes to dine-in, as they don’t do reservations for parties less than 8. However, you can also order online and take it to go (which is what I ended up doing).
The pizza I tried is called Blanco, which, as the name suggests, is a white-base ‘za. It had fresh mozzarella, LEMON ricotta 🍋, garlic, rosemary, loooooooooots of arugula, and pecorino. I honestly had my doubts about the lemon ricotta (because, lemons on pizza???), but it ended up working perfectly with the other flavors on the pie. The arugula was good, but I would’ve liked slightly less of it. Maybe I’ll ask for light arugula next time 🤷♀️ Oven-fired, the dough itself was chewy and soft, as was the...CRUST
The crust had a delicious, full-bodied flavor. Tbh, I ate all of mine AND my boyfriend’s 😂 None of it was burnt, and it wasn’t too much bread either. The only downside was that it had no external flavor (like a garlic butter). I rate this crust (and pizza) as a solid 9/10! As always, the link will be in my bio for you to try. Until next time, stay cheesy 🍕😘
Who would have thought Indian Naan Bread would make the perfect flatbread!! Topped with kale, asiago cheese & the best smoked mushrooms, this appetizer has gone to the top of my list of favorites 😋. Go check out a recent review of @chefvenoy & @americankitchenlbv www.orlandofoodcritic.com/review/American-kitchen-bar-grill-lake-buena-vista/ 😍
Burgers & Biryani Express (Kissimmee): 4/5. Located very close to Celebration and Disney, the newest addition to Central Florida’s Halal scene is very promising! Although they’re still working out some new business kinks, the food is delicious. It’s all made fresh every day, and the flavors are on point. They use innovative technology to get their fries cooked to perfection. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, but they’re missing that grilled flavor. The white sauce is super good. You want to have it with everything (and we did). We only wish their hours were longer. The best part, there’s a mosque right next door!
Recommendations: combo over rice, garlic mayo fries.
American Kitchen Bar & Grill Lake Buena Vista
Let us introduce you to Chef Venoy Rogers lll, @chefvenoy the Executive Chef at American Kitchen. Don’t worry if you have never come across his name, you will do soon, for Chef Rogers is cooking up a storm at the American Kitchen restaurant located in the superb B Resort & Spa. @bresortandspa
American Kitchen is definitely a restaurant within a hotel rather than a hotel restaurant, and could easily stand on its own in a different location.
Chef Rogers has roots in California, so is no stranger to farm to table food elements and fusion taste sensations, all of which he brings to his fantastic menu. A few years ago, we visited his restaurant in the Palms on Miami Beach and were impressed with what he could do with simple ingredients, so delighted to see him in Orlando, indeed Chef Rogers is known for his mantra “To make good food you need good ingredients"
The menu at American Kitchen takes influences from all over the world and gives them a unique American twist, but always fresh and innovative. We asked Chef for some recommendations and were delighted to try the following items from the current menu.
Tempura Avocado – served with Tomato Chipotle Jam and Cilantro Lime Crème Fraiche. The slices of Avocado were lightly battered with Tempura resulting in a crisp refreshing bite, the jam was outstanding, more please!
Tuscan Kale Flatbread – smoked exotic mushrooms, pickled onion, Asiago cheese and garlic thyme infused honey. The flatbread was in fact Indian Naan bread a great idea, well balanced flavors especially the Asiago with Honey were simple but a very clever use of ingredients.
AK Meatballs – in-house beef grind on a bed of creamy Parmesan Polenta, smoked Tomato Pomodoro & house made Ricotta. The meatballs are a blend of Brisket & NY Strip plus some other ingredients Chef Rogers keeps close to his chest, good polenta and even better Ricotta.
American Kitchen has its own Smokehouse, so BBQ and smoked food are readily available to Chef Rogers when creating and developing his menu. The restaurant also has a superb bar ....see the rest of this review at wwworlandofoodcritic.com or from link in Bio

One of the many things we love about orlando is that there is no shortage of good restaurants. Our VP of operations shares that one of his favorite spots to grab lunch at is @thestubbornmuleorlando. And it’s not hard to see why. #aroundorlando#orlandosmortgagepeople nmls #1418
We are on a mission to try all the tacos in Orlando. It is a big task now with tacos on almost every corner, but we are up for it.
First stop was old school @garibaldi_sandlake. It has been years since I’d been to this restaurant so couldn’t wait to check it out.
Tacos and margaritas were both excellent and just now I remembered them. What is not to love about $1 tacos for Taco Tuesday. You have an option of beef or chicken and they all come with lettuce and cheese.
Two thumbs up. 👍👍 #orlandotacos#orlandoeats#orlandolife#orlandofoodie#tacosinorlando#whyiloveorlando#orlandoconnect#garibaldisandlake #🌮
