Today's event is about community, team building, learning, and sweatin'! I'll be touching more on those experiences later #butfirst ... I MET Joel Freeman!!! 😄🙊😍 And yes, he smells as good as he looks 😉
But he whooped our asses in a full hour long workout! I can't WAIT to get certified in Core De Force LIVE! and bring this program to my local fitness class friends!
Rose turns 4 on Monday! Today was her birthday party. It went well and all the kids had a ball. Now I am horizontal on the sofa with wine in hand. Childrens parties are A LOT of work. Possibly harder than say maybe, building a pyramid 😵
“You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow they’ll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift.”
Being a mom or parent is a lot of work. I'm often distracted and disengaged as I try to get through life's overwhelming to do list. But this quote reminds me that one day my kids won't need me like they do now and will be off in the world. Reminding myself that the dishes or laundry can wait because these childhood moments are but fleeting ❤️
It'll be Reese's third time watching the new Beauty and the Beast and my first. Little girl has hardly said three words all day, her voice is completely gone and she doesn't feel well at all. We had to cancel our date lastnight and tell their local grandma that they won't be coming over tomorrow.. our scheduled kidless weekend has turned into a very kid cuddling one instead. Ps: her brother has the crud too!
Bike gang or bust? This is by far M's favorite weekend activity when both she and her little friends are home. There is a park a block from our houses and we go there often to blow off some steam and picnic on occasion. The weather is too good today to not spend it outdoors! Hello, Fall 👋🏻🍂
A little early morning coloring in the bed. She’s just learnt the word ‘color’ so we’ve been doing quite a bit of coloring the last couple days. She was trying so hard to hide the pencil ✏️ crayons underneath her legs here, but it just wasn’t working.
New Tombstone Bath Bomb in the tub! My kids absolutely love having bubbles and bombs in the tub, especially all the Halloween ones!
All bath bombs fizz, foam and moisturize without leaving a mess in the tub! Perfect for moms and kids 😊
Make Bath Time Fun Again!
If you’re looking for something fun to do in San Antonio this evening, check Crocktoberfest at the zoo. Great music, food, beer, and a guy wearing liederhosen wearing stilts. What could be better? If you go, tell my tall friend I said hi!
How's your weekend going? I had been worried about moving Thomas' nursery but now he's started I'm worried about moving him away again for primary school! He's having such a blast even though he's absolutely grubby at the end of each day. I reckon it's a sign that he's enjoying every minute despite all the extra washing! 😂😂

Story time. My son Eli is... a lot. He's amazing and I love him so much it hurts but he has never been a calm, easy baby. I have to take about a dozen pictures to get one that he's happy in usually. He also isn't known for being up for anyone's plan but his own.
So when we went to a mommy group on craft day, I should have known it would be a challenge. Not surprisingly, I got one footprint. When I tried to do his handprint, we both ended up covered in paint and he had a total meltdown. He was very much so done from there.
The other moms all went home with great crafts (most of them went home with more than one.) I went home with a foot. I laughed it off but it was disappointing and when I got home, I debated just tossing it.
It was supposed to be a "memorable craft" and I really didn't need to remember yet another baby tantrum. It put it on the table and walked away for a while.
But that night, I rethought things. I decided to take that foot and make something out of it that we could hold onto. Because my son is 4 months old. He didn't choose this activity or how he was feeling that day. He didn't intentionally ruin anything and honestly - the footprint we got turned out great.
No, it wasn't an easy day. But he's growing up so fast and everyday deserves to be remembered. Someday I can show him this and we can laugh about why we were only able to get one little print.
This is what I came up with. It hangs in his bedroom now as a reminder. Maybe it's not the cute memorable craft he was supposed to have. But it is a memory of my fierce, spirited little boy doing what he does best - running his own show.
I'm not artistic. It's lopsided and needs to be filled in more. It's not perfect, but goodness neither are we.
Surprisingly we had a lot of sun 🌞🌞🌞 and warm weather today.
After visiting the zero waste shop - which i loved (they had chocolate🍫😂) 💙 - we went to the park to collect chestnuts. And today we had luck, their were plenty🍁🍂🍃. Hubby and me took a sun bath while M watched the older kids playing and had fun with the chestnuts👏.
Family time and a ninetieth birthday in Brixham this weekend. My two sweethearts were very well behaved, but Ruth is particularly poorly at the moment with a bout of asthma. Quite a scary night sleeping next to her on Thursday night, keeping her close as neither of us really slept. But she is getting a bit better each day.
