Ok, so this will be my last post from the Byron lighthouse but I'm just getting started with this region 😍🤗 Despite the crowds, I do love watching the sun peak over the ocean. It made me realise what a rite of passage this moment must be for so many backpackers. The crowds do ruin the serenity though. Where's your go to place for sunrise?... except for 'bed' of course 😴😂😂

During this busy time of year, I feel that it's always important to take time for ourselves to focus and breathe. With year-end deadlines, preparing for travel/visitors, attending holiday parties, and finishing shopping, it's always a hectic time.
During the past year, meditation and yin yoga have become an important part of my routine. Carving out time for myself to decompress, unwind and focus on my breath has been incredibly beneficial health wise. Admittedly, with my Type A personality, clearing my head of thoughts and getting my monkey mind to shush has been a challenge and takes constant practice.
When I am able to fall into the zone, I find that I come out refreshed and rejuvenated. And, some of my most creative epiphanies have been after these sessions. I'm looking forward to a three hour Yin Yoga workshop this coming weekend with my favorite instructor.
What practices have you employed to help with relaxation?

I’ve taken a lot of photos of isolated trees this year, few of which I’ve posted to Instagram. So, for this photo, I tried to do something different — sort of. Instead of taking yet another photo of a lone tree, I tried to make the bark the subject.
Nueva entrada de blog! Quinto día de viaje, repleta de fotos de cascadas.
