I love this bit of wisdom from #gregglassman founder of @crossfit - “Success is the moment you get off of the couch and do 10 squats when yesterday you did none. It’s going to the refrigerator to have a low-glycemic meal...like some turkey breast, broccoli, and cashews. The hyperglycemic nightmare is broken, you’ve lowered your blood sugar and you’ve started exercising... With 10 squats and one meal, you have eliminated the root cause of chronic disease.” Every time you put your feet on the ground or food on your plate is an opportunity to cure yourself.
Today there were 14 of us at the track. These are the dumbbells the kids used to do dumbbell snatches. There’s nothing quite as motivating to me as working out next to children. Teach them young and they’ll always know the cure.

I’m so sore! We took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday and did a sprints and medball workout. So, I want to poll family, friends, and the IG community...Dave’s been toying with the idea of starting something on the side, but doesn’t think anyone would be interested in his services. I’m asking y’all for him because I know he’s a wealth of knowledge, but too modest about it. So would anyone be interested in online coaching/programming or a bootcamp with Dave? He’s a certified strength and conditioning coach (cscs), a USATF Level 1 track coach, a retired competitive powerlifter (bench 285lbs, deadlift 465lbs, squat 425lbs, 165 weight class), a PE teacher, a background in athletic training/sports medicine, interned as a D-I collegiate strength and conditioning coach, dabbled in the ultrarunning world, the list goes on and on. He doesn’t know I’m doing this. So please let me know if there is any interest. Away this weekend in London to watch the snooker. This wee park is right across from the flat we are staying in. It has a gym! I think this is a fabulous idea! Exercise should be accessible. Today, however, it's not for me. Aside from the fact that my knee is still rubbish, I didn't plan to train when I was here. I should point out that although I am, as mentioned, off to the pub, I'm on soda water and lime, and a baked potato for lunch.
