Last year, @karinsaucedo attended the @summitworkshops She came home inspired and with a body of work that just blew me away. Among her images was some glorious sunrises and sunsets in the Grand Tetons, especially String Lake. I knew that if I had a chance, I wanted to try to capture the magnificence of this beautiful place. This year it was my turn to attend the workshop and luckily we went to String Lake not once but twice-once at night and once at dawn. I have a lot of images from Wyoming but one of my favorites is this one. A shot of the mountains at daybreak with it's reflection on the water with the first rays of the sun lighting up the mountain top. #teamsaucedophoto#outdoorphotographymagazine#natgeo#naturephotography#nature#nikonphotography#lenscoat#reallyrightstuff#thinktank#findyourpark#grandtetons
Instagram went ahead and cropped this one a bit, so I'll upload a raw version to my website (still a work in progress) - link in bio. If you look back one photo on my timeline you'll see my first attempt at this shot which I wasn't at all satisfied with. For this one I ended up hopping from rock to rock to get across the flowing river where 2 other photographers had already perched themselves. I figured I'd try to get a unique composition using my #50mm and I think it payed off.
