"How wonderful is it that we laugh because our bodies cannot contain the joy" ~unknown
Today I turned 27 and I made a few birthday resolutions. This next year, I plan to keep an open mind and heart and seek out adventure and experience. I want to learn new things. I hope to be more selfless but also more passionate in going after what makes my soul happy. I don't know what the next year has in store but I am going to work on being present in the moment. I am so thankful for everyone in my life right now and I am very excited to see where the next year takes me. 💕 📸: @erik_mauer
Would you sit here all day and watch this water flow?
We definitely would!
This trail led us alongside the stream of water headed towards Cataract Falls. These mini falls acted as a little teaser, but we can't complain one bit. 😍🤗
Looking deep into your freezer wondering what you do with all that frozen wild meat?
Don’t worry, I’ve got some ideas for you!
Introducing my 7 Day Wild Meat Meal Plan. You can grab it in our bio link!
I know that deciding what to eat on a daily basis can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you are trying to eat health and/or feed a family!
There have been so many times in my life where I have been at the grocery store for a couple small things and thought about how much work it would be to sit down and figure out what to use out of the freezer. So instead I grabbed something from the grocery store to eat instead of using all the amazing clean organic meats from the freezer that I had worked so hard to harvest!
What the hell is wrong with me I thought! Truth is I just didn’t have a plan, I was hoping that something magical would come to my mind and it wasn’t happening.
Honestly the simplest thing to do is take some inventory of what is in your freezer and make a plan. Even a loose plan of the things you could make form your meats. Then leave that on the fridge and make a decision in the morning while drinking your coffee.
But if that’s too annoying for you, or you feel really unmotivated to make a decision you can just use my 7 Day Wild Meat Meal Plan! I created it for you anyways, might as well take advantage and try it out!🦃🦌

Workin’ those riding muscles!! 🐎 All legs and booty with these squat jumps! 🔥🔥🔥 It’s funny, I could do squat jumps all day; I love them!! 🏋🏼♀️ But, I am the biggest wimp when it comes to push ups! 😂 What exercises do you love, and which ones do you hate??
“It is really cool to represent our country and get together with people from all over the world for a positive reason, and to see all the cultural differences intertwine and come together. I especially appreciated how much I learned about the host country of Japan, but it was still a competition and to see that we had the skills to accomplish a successful run through the hardest slalom course any of us had faced was an incredible feeling,” [Tana Deklevar] said.
The team of six women can say they trained on rivers throughout the U.S. to prepare for their competition. Though the overwhelming majority of their sponsorship and support came from the Upper Arkansas Valley, these women came together from all over the country to form their team.
The perennial commitment for them is time spent carved out of their normal daily lives of going to school, working full-time jobs and being mothers.
Contributing to the team’s success, these women had to raise $13,000 just to be able to travel to Japan and compete. Their main sponsor was Eddyline, who contributed over $3,000 to the cause along with community backers CKS, HEC Studios and Melanzana in Leadville. However the trip still would not have been possible without monetary donations from supporters, friends and family throughout the valley.
# Other sponsors included Ethos Gym, who provided an individualized workout regimen specific towards raft racing so the girls could stick to the same workout schedule even if they were unable to be together as well as Kokatat and Salamander Paddle Gear who provided the necessary safety gear and attire.
For all the latest information about fundraisers, competitions and events the team has a website that is also linked to their social media accounts. If you are from out of the area but would also like to contribute or support there is an option to donate directly through the website raftracecolorado.com. The ladies hope this year they will only bring more awareness to the sport and are able to raise even more money to alleviate the out-of-pocket costs.” Full article in bio: http://www.chaffeecountytimes.com/free_content/arkansas-river-guides-buena-vista-locals-
as in the morning I was left with the desire for a few kms, so I got it done✌🏻😁, I went to the trail that the snowmobiles use, taking advantage of the fact that they can not use it because of the lack of snow. Now I can say, no excuses! When the snow comes again, I'll figure it out.
Communication is one of my biggest passions. I studied it in college and it's something we all practice in our jobs and life every single day. Along the way, I've learned that one of the greatest forms of communication is having the courage to be open enough to tell someone you are grateful for them and appreciate them💕Even for the littlest of things💫Tell someone they make your world more beautiful and that they're beautiful, but tell them in ways so they understand it's not just because of their looks. Tell them they're beautiful in as many ways as you can, as many ways as they are🦋Tell them they're so because their smile brightens up a room since it shines from their soul. That they're sense of humor is witty and smart and can make even the most serious of people giggle. Tell them they're caring, compassionate, kind, aware, insightful, that they make people feel heard. Tell them they're powerful, that their strength and resilience in this life is inspirational. That their courage to chase their dreams is motivating and their joyful energy makes you want to be around them. Tell them they're smart and they teach you many things. Try things they're interested in to show them you respect their choices and admire their way of life, try on the their best sunglasses so you can see the world through their favorite color^^^😎Tell them they're beautiful in ways that make them know it's not because of their looks but in ways that show them they're worthy because of their character, heart, mind and spirit. They're worthy and beautiful because they're a badass human living a badass life in a wonderfully tough world. Tell them in as many ways as you can and show them in more. Show up, be present, listen, validate, give them the space and freedom to be themselves. Join in their goofiness, admire their weirdest, smartest, strongest, silliest expressions of self and tell them that's why they're beautiful, that's why you're grateful. Because they are them and you are you, so you teach them and they inspire you, and that is perfection, that is beautiful✌️
"Good day sunshine, good day sunshine, goood day sun-shine!" 🏃🌞🎶 Kicked off this sunny Saturday with 14 beautiful miles along the beach & my longest run since NYCM! No music (I don't run with music - anyone else run without music?) 45 degrees when I started my run; no goal pace for today - goal was simply to stay relaxed & just take in the beauty around me. The run was windy & of course I looped around running the 2nd half right into the 20mph winds! 🙈💨💨💨 I swear, the wind follows me everywhere I go! It's ok, it's only making me stronger, right!? 💪 Focused on keeping my form as I conquered the strong winds in those final 7 miles and to my surprise I managed to maintain a pretty consistent pace throughout. 14 miles - 1:56:57 - 8:21/mile! Splits were 8:22, 8:21, 8:21, 8:19, 8:21, 8:20, 8:18, 8:20, 8:27, 8:22, 8:27, 8:22, 8:22 and 8:12!!! I missed my running buddies today; this is the first longer run I've done solo in a while but it was so nice to see so many familiar faces out there today & so many people just enjoying this picture perfect Saturday with their families! 🌞 Just 85 days until #Boston2018 💙💛🎉 and 55 days until @Shamrockmarathon half!! #ShamrockOn 💚 Bring on #SundayRunday !! 🎉🎉🎉 #WomensRunningCommunity#marathontraining#instarunners#inspiringwomenrunners#RunnersCommunity#OptOutside#i12run2#mmfitfam#momentumjewelry
