Back in October 2013 Josh Everett, TrainHeroic, and more than 350 boxes in the fitness community rallied together in spectacular fashion to support the Autism community in a worldwide workout event called Lift Up Luke.
This competition for a cause sought to support early diagnosis and treatment of Autism, raise funds for the Autism Tree Project Foundation in San Diego, and most importantly, turn a global spotlight on the measured and severe impact of Autism on families and individuals around the world.
In 2016, the community crushed 2013's results with more than:
*39 countries represented
*650 boxes hosting the event
*7,500 athletes performing the workout
*$75,000 donated to our foundations
*and 17.5 million social media impressions raising awareness and driving action
This year, we're looking to raise the bar and take it to a whole other level.
Our 2017 goal: Connect 1,000 gyms and 10,000 athletes around the globe to mobilize around this cause.

Happy Monday friends! It has been a hot minute since we posted. Quick little life update: we just got back from Hawaii to celebrate Kat's graduation and our Mom's retirement. 🌺🏝 We had an amazing time there and went on lots of fun adventures - snorkeling, ziplining, riding atvs. We just got back this past week and now Liz is celebrating her birthday with her hubby and baby muffin in the Happiest Place On Earth- Disneyland! 🐭🏰
After this week we should be back in the normal routine of cooking all the health and exercising on a more regular basis. But until then, we'll be enjoying life, trying to exercise balance, and indulging in a Disneyland churro here and there 😉

Soooo…. This has happened a few times to me recently.. I go to the store to grab a few items, including cheese and someone says “oh is that a part of your diet?” 🙄
One ☝🏼 its not a diet, it's a lifestyle change and two ✌🏼yes, it’s cheese (dairy isle cheese, the best you can get 😉) and I’m going to eat it.
Or I get seen (or busted) enjoying an ice cream 🍦 when earlier in the day I posted about it being a new week and a fresh start to clean eating… but yet I ended up with an ice cream in my hand 🤚 Ummmm, yes because I eat the ice cream too.
So let me just clarify a few things….
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…
I don’t deprive myself from the foods I like.
I am not on a diet. I am making a healthy lifestyle change.
I can still enjoy the foods I like, in moderation.
You won’t ever hear me say, “I can’t eat that." I choose to fuel my body with healthy foods.
Sometimes I choose to eat the not so healthy foods too.
If I want the junk then I have the freaking junk. And that’s Ok!
No where does it state "you can never eat that again!" I am human, I like to eat the things I love, the good and the bad.
So I ate the dang ice cream 🤷🏼♀️ lucky for me it’s a lifestyle change and not a diet, so I can enjoy an ice cream every now and then! 😉 .

I want to note--> you can do 8,798,267 an exercises, but unless you are eating correctly, that coveted 6-pack will not pop! .
The Ab Workout: 50 Crunches, 20 Toes to Bar, 50 Hanging Knee Raises, 20 Windshield Wipers, 20 Ball Ups .

TRX Modified Inverted Row. I'm calling it modified b/c my body is not held straight out from - in this case - the tree. Still, a great pulling movement that you can try. Here's a little #shoulder primer I used before my handstand #workout in the #park -------------------------------------------- these are really great moves to get those #shoulders firing while working on that shoulder stability and strength. Try it before your workout, or every day. These moves helped me bounce back from injury.
