Wanna know my least favorite thing about being a doctor? 👩🏻⚕️ Charts, charts, charts, on repeat 🗒💻 I’m always doing charts. At home, at lunch (as long as nobody sneakin peeks at my computer), at work (obviously). The thing that stresses me out most at work, is when I get behind in charts!
How crazy is that?
I could talk to patients all day, do procedures all day. Using my brain is fun. Face to face time, is my favorite time. ☺️
It’s so nice when you can focus on those things instead of charting every single thing that you and the patient talked about.
But the reality of practicing in America, is that charting will always be a BIG part of your life. I mean huge.
It not only helps the medical providers that care for your patient in the future, but it helps billing and insurance companies, and lawyers- should a patient or patient family need one in the future.
Paper charts were never a thing for me, unless the system crashes, which happens.
I’ve always been electronic. But some facilities still use paper charts, and many facilities use different electronic medical record companies so they don’t cross over.
The most common misconception from many patients... that we have access to all of your records, regardless of state, hospital, etc. 😆
I literally have patients say to me, “why do I have to tell you all of this? You have all of my records”. I look into their chart. We have no records.
Upon further questioning... “oh I thought you had all the charts floating around in the electronic system”. No... it doesn’t really work that way. 😏
So to all you medical providers out there, cheers to me, you, and our never ending pile of charts! 🥂
Disclaimer: drinking and charting is not recommended. And friends don’t let friends sign charts, while tired. You never know what’ll end up in there!!!

I've ALWAYS loved libraries! When I was younger I would spend recess breaks in the school library, I was super close friends with my librarians and even read competitively in elementary school (it was called "Battle of the Books"). 🤓
Today, I discovered a new section of my school's library and I fell in love! There's something so magical about the wealth of knowledge these books contain. ✨📚
Needless to say, you can find me in the library all week! 😍
Do you guys prefer studying in the library or at home? 📸 @mslaurawinner
Magic Mondays! With just a Botox treatment I was able to magically reduce her forehead lines, lift her eyelids and reduce appearance of fine lines around her eyes. Her skin looks amazing as she looks more refreshed and youthful. Schedule your next appointment with me if you want to achieve a similar look. 💉👩🏻⚕️
"Faça sempre a diferença, porque a diferença, começa primeiro com você."

Rambutan fruit is a conglomeration of vitamins and minerals, all encased in this sweet & juicy little package 😋 it also has high fiber content, contains phosphorus & kills intestinal parasites! It’s also so fun to eat 🤪 Rambutan is considered an exotic fruit which means it’s a little on the expensive side. It can be found at gourmet grocery stores. Something worth trying!

1️⃣ I get a lot of questions about this book - it's the short version of Nelson's and it's a great starting point for reading as a resident.
2️⃣ glasses, contacts, toothbrush, and toothpaste. These are super important and you will not feel human if you don't take 30 seconds to use them.
3️⃣ @thedrybar sent me this cute little brush and I love it! Somehow it's better than normal brushes. I pair it with dry shampoo... my current favorite is @love_amika because it smells amazing 🌺
4️⃣ @neutrogena hydroboost eye cream, @yslbeauty foundation, and @bareminerals concealer. 30 seconds to go from death to barely alive in appearance. 💀➡️👩🏼⚕️
5️⃣ @lauramercier caviar stick in cocoa, @toofaced better than sex mascara, and @benefitcosmetics gimme brow. I just feel a little more put together with this combo.
6️⃣ not pictured but water, water, water, and also coffee. I'm also forever losing chapstick but there's usually a few varieties in my rotation!
Tell me what I missed! ☺️
