Here are some facts about the important antioxidant Carnosine that we use in ANF (aminoneurofrequency) therapy.
Crucial for the renewal of cells and hormones.
Anti-aging and promotes longevity i.e. good for wrinkles and cellular aging
Benificial for diabetics
Makes wounds heal faster
Improves physical performace
Repairs nerve damage and is benificial in Parkinson's, Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy
Lowers blood pressure
Protects bone health
Protects the Liver (from toxins like alcohol) and helps prevent hangovers
Lack of Carnosine causes psoriasis, eczema, osteoporosis, wrinkles and premature aging.
Good in treating scar tissues
Breaks down arthrosis
Chemically produced Carnosine is broken down by stomach acid and when provided by food, it is taken over by the Thyroid and used up by the body is seconds That's why ANF Carnosine discs are so awesome!
Since so many of us are bound weekly to the desk and office chair, more and more people are sitting for long periods of time with clients having the same frustrating complaints, tight hips, quadriceps (thighs), hamstrings (back of thighs) and buttocks (goes without saying, sire upper shoulders AND BACK PAIN.
Sitting long hours without moving, (static flexion) muscles become weak, shortened, tighten and ultimately making them ‘switch off’ causing ‘lower body atrophy syndrome’, a factor that leads to bad posture and poor movement quality.
The hips are the foundation of the torso, stabilising the pelvis and legs, they are surrounded by muscles that move in several planes — forward & back (flexors and extensors), from side to side and (abductors, adductors) and opening of the hip (rotators) yet very little emphasis is placed on the importance of the hips in exercise and movement.
Try this simple (or not so simple, let’s see if you can keep your hips square to the front, not sloping to either side, it’s much harder than it looks but it gets easier, with practice) and not only move better but feel better at the office and outside of the office as you move better with less tension in the lower back.
Get up and go for a walk, take the stairs if you can, have coffee and lunch breaks away from your desk - be active in body and mind during your work day and you will feel better for it!

Hey everyone! It’s Brooke! I grew up all over Oregon state and I’m 22 years old. I moved up to Washington almost two years ago and have loved being able to go hiking and explore all over.
Recently I discovered eucalyptus globulus and it has helped immensely with my pain. I was in a car accident about 7 months ago. Since then I have been in for numerous MRI’s, X-rays, ultrasounds, and injections. I still to this day have no answers on why I have so much pain or why I have constant headaches. They have put me on pain meds. But I am so completely against them I don’t take them. Using frankincense, Idaho balsm fir, and copaiba, my pain has diminished my pain. I have only been doing the oils the last two months and can feel the difference in my whole body. I can honestly say I will never go back to pain meds. Eucalyptus globulus is not only good to help with pain but many other things! I now drop one or two drops in my hand at 4 am everyday and cup my hands and inhale. It’s my new energy drink! I’m always open to questions so let me know if you have any 🙃 #eo#yleo#youngliving#younglivingessentialoils#fromtheearth#happy#painfree#betterme#askmeaboutyleo#seedtoseal#naturalfarming#love#Peace

@Regranned from @optimize.physiotherapy - ◾️Is your tight butt causing your pain or 'sciatica': part 2
🔑 As the previous post discussed, having a tight butt can be a cause of pain in this region and 'sciatica' type symptoms
🔑 You can start to address this by doing soft tissue release work on your own. A lacrosse ball is a good tool to use. I have demonstrated 2 ways to do the soft tissue release for this region. Start with the wall version, as it is less intense. The goal is to find the hot spots or trigger points (the most tender spots) and apply pressure to them while slowly moving. It will be uncomfortable, but it shouldn't be unbearable...remember the goal is to decrease tension in these muscles
🔑 1-2minutes per side is a good start, focusing on the most tender spots. Breathe deeply the entire time to allow your body to relax further
🔑 This is a good way to start, but addressing the causes for why this muscle tissue is tight should also be addressed. Hip mobility, hip stability, offsetting the effects of sitting etc. should be looked at.

GET TO KNOW TP PAIN REFERRAL PATTERNS! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Here we have pictures of the Glute Max pain referral pattern (pic 1) and Glute mediums referral pattern (pic 2)
These two muscles were causing my client Joe tremendous amounts of pain today. He walked in for his 85 minute session and was at a 9/10 for his lower back, right on the sacrum, in the middle.
Ok, I thought. Can totally help him.
Starting the treatment as always by taking a few minutes to assess the body as it lays on the couch. Joes left glutes were sitting significantly “higher” than the right, when looking down the back.
Hot stone therapy complete, it was time
to investigate the left side first and yes, his left side was hitting 7/10 for pain when compressing trigger points in the Glute max. I worked the right side too, significantly lower in terms of pain than the left.
I treated these then went on to treat his Glute medius, TFL and Glute minimus on both sides. Again, much worse on the left.
We completed the treatment with stretches and I taught Joe some stretches to try and keep everything released in between session.
Result? Joe got off the couch and felt ZERO pain. Z.E.R.O.
This was an even better result than I could of imagined!
To top it off, he was also presenting pain in his right foot, I found and treated some trigger points in the calcaneous area and the ligaments in the ankle. Joe said his pain was at a 7/10 when he came in, he left with it at a 1-2/10!!!! Some amazing results for an awesome client. Joe is back weekly for his 85 minute session, he understands and fully feels the benefit of regular massage. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
@Regranned from @smashwerx - Crank up that grip strength and fix your unstable shoulders......say what?? Your ability to recruit and use a stable overhead position is predicated on the principal of irradiation. So when you have the shoulder support of a pool noodle, check two things:
1. Grip strength under movement.
2. Internal shoulder rotation.
Here’s the deal, as you contract the Flexors and extensors of the forearm, you neurologically force recruitment of more muscle fibers along the kinetic chain, which in turn, gives you massively increased stability.
✅ Do you have the grip strength of a third grader holding hands with her brother?
✅ Your overhead position looks more like the beginning of a back walkover?
✅ You have carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, and frozen shoulder, but only on one side?
You’re nervous system will look for the most ‘efficient’ method of execution, which is usually like using a Prius to tow a monster truck.
The glenohumeral joint becomes anteriorly loaded because the Long head of the bicep knocks it down like a fat kid getting slapped with a wet hand. This forces the scapula into an anterior inferior position and every overhead movement pounds the labrum. Forcing the forearm to fully engage in flexion while driving the scapulohumeral Complex into strict overhead position reprograms your CNS for proper movement. Yep, it’s that easy (most of the time😉).
1️⃣ Banded internal rotation pull. Let the band pull the arm away and up.
2️⃣ Single arm kneeling upside down kettle bell press. The active side is the lead leg side. 3 X 10.

@Regranned from @smashwerx - Want to fix your bench? Or dips? Or pretty much every pressing movement? Here are the 3 things you’re not doing, and you need to.
Give your shoulder a quick check:
✅ Does it feel like it’s been filled with 1/4 inch gravel and beach sand?
✅ Someone said dips and overhead pressing is bad for you, and you believe it?
✅ There’s a weird clicking noise, from your shoulder?
The scapula is designed to stabilize against glide when the glenohumeral joint is loaded in any direction. So when your scap has the intrinsic stability of a wire coat hanger, your shoulder gets beaten like a teen in a rental car. Your shoulder braces solely on connective tissue and primary movers when this happens and you lose the ability to stack the joint.
The pec minor, which tags that coracoid, gets recruited to move massive loads, which is about as effective as using a beach ball for dodge ball. The Serratus anterior gets an aberrant movement pattern and drags the scap into protraction forcing the glenoid fossa into more funky angles than Jenna Jameson’s camera crew.
The Long head of the Tricep which comes off the infraglenoid tubercle locks onto the scap and humerus and works against every movement above 30 degrees.
The joint needs to move through its entire range of motion while maintaining centralization, none of which can happen when you’re shoulder moves like a 72’ Impala four door missing a wheel.
1️⃣ Pec minor/major barbell separation.
2️⃣ Serratus anterior Banded peel.
3️⃣ Banded Tricep peel.
BOOM! Shoulders just got an oil change! Smash you later! #mobilitywod#romwod#getfit#painfree#run#csagym#fitfam#fit#fitaid#nike#reebok#crossfit#crossfitgames#clinicalathlete#fitness#ufc#muscle#nfl#deltacrossfit#mobility#yoga @crossfitmaui @thebarbellwod @cal_strength #strength - #regrann

Today was sumo deadlifts straight after running my Stronghold Sunday "Metcon" (Metabolic Conditioning). 3rd set of 5 reps with 150kg's. Critique notes: Noticed a slight forward tilt on my first rep. Will work on keeping the lats engaged, being over the bar slightly more to engage the posterior chain more. Lost tightness on the 4th so I resetted and took my time on the 5th rep, hence the slight pause at the bottom. Overall, I'm happy.
WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR NEW RANGE OF MOTION
You now have a new range of motion through the shoulders, do you think you should just leave it or perform a strengthening exercise to help keep it?... Of course, the second one, when you have gained a new range of motion our bodies want to revert back to its original position, it could take hours or days depending on what you did to increase that new range. .
This exercise creates more muscular control so we have a usable end range of motion and everything in-between. No matter what is causing the decrease in mobility (thoracic extension, tight pectoralis minor/latissimus dorsi, or decrease in scapular movement) this can help maintain the new range you have gained. .
HOW DOES IT WORK? .
With working through your new range under constant tension, helps to minimize the neurological safeguards that your brain has in place to prevent injury. Working on this exercise a couple days a week can help increase the strength through your new gained range of motion and can also increase your mobility even further. .
HOW TO PERFORM
As you can see my hands are quite high above the boxes, you can put plates on the box to increase the intensity of the exercise. Make sure your hands don't touch them.
1️⃣ Lay flat on your stomach on a bench and place 2 boxes at any height about hip width apart
2️⃣ Align the elbows with the shoulders and lift them till they are shoulder height
3️⃣ Externally rotate the shoulder with your elbows bent at 90°
4️⃣ While still keeping your hands at the same height, extend your arms above your head moving at a slow tempo till they are locked out
5️⃣ Return the elbows back to the same position, internally rotate and lower your arms back to the floor
6️⃣ Repeat this for 5-10 reps
TRY IT OUT! COMMENT BELOW AND LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES

Before my session with Marlaynah, I was in an incredible amount of pain shooting spasms in my back; severe tension in my shoulders, mid back and hips; plus, I was experiencing weekly headaches.
During our session, it felt is though I could feel her unwinding months of pent-up trauma that was locked in my body. It was amazing! What stands out the most about Marlaynah is her calming presence, skilled touch, and expert knowledge of the body, which allowed me to fully relax and receive the treatment I so desperately needed.
After the session and for the first time in months, I thought zero tension in my body. I had the best night sleep and even woke up without pain or stiffness. I felt like a whole new person!
I can't wait to see what kind of changes my body undergoes with her consistent treatment.
If you're in the Kona area and want to see results, Marlaynah @taoofthebody is THE BEST massage therapist to see! And even if you're not technically in the area… She's worth the drive. She also does out call and I hear she even takes insurance… So you really have no excuse to not receive one of her massages. #selfcare#massage#konahawaii#painfree#bigisland#bigislandhawaii
