#echidnaencountersaturdays ---imagine if that hashtag took off!
My encounter with an echidna-Whilst painting a few years ago at Phillip Island I had to crawl on my backside to get a cross the small path you can see here in this painting leading to the larger land mass across the other side. This is the kind of thing we really should not do if your afraid of heights. It took me so long to cross it. Once across I had the most Magnificat view of the ocean and some striking molten rock formation below. As I took time to take it all in an echidna wobbled past. I laid on my stomach and filmed him and he walked right up to my camera.i loved seeing his little eyes and pointy nose and to see his spindles close up. It was another beautiful experience in the wild at Phillip Island. Once again it was the wild rugged weather and landscape that attracted me here. Hopefully it's what I felt on the day that comes across as much as the sense of the place itself.
This past summer we moved from the office we had been residing in for years down the street to a larger facility in Monroe. This week we worked on renovating the upstairs rooms because... well, they needed some SERIOUS help! The first thing needing to go was the wallpaper! Watch it go!
