I've had some people ask how i did the skin cape.Ok here it is. Here are the steps and recipe I used:
Step 1: Base coat Rakarth flesh (2 thin coats)
Step 2: Washed with 1:1 Reickland Fleshshade/Lahmian Medium (again 2 thin coats)
Step 3: 2 thin layers of screaming skull
Step 4: then applied a 1:1 glaze over the whole thing with Athonian Camoshade/Lahmian Medium.
Step 5: I picked out hard edges with a highlight of flayed one flesh,
Step 6: went back over recessed areas with undiluted Reickland Fleshshade.
Lastly I took Corroburg Crimsom/Lahmain medium 1:1 and Druichi VIolet/Lahmian Medium and placed some areas of bruising and light blood stains.
This gaved it the impression of skin cloak to me. This however is just one way.
Experimenting is what I think is the most fun about modeling and painting. Hope that helps. #deathguard#warhammer40k#darkimperium#nurgle#paintingwarhammer40k#paintingminis#paintingwarhammer#miniatures#minipainting
