Anyone else try these yet? From Costco. Oil choice (canola) is a little “meh” but everything else looks great. Another very quick way to sneak some veggies in? 1 out of 2 kids and both parents approved, so we’re at a 75% success rate 😝.

Feeling like Teri from @nocrumbsleft would be pretty proud of this heroine chicken. I marinated for 48 hours and followed the baking directions to a T. Can't wait to dig in! Tried @livinglovingpaleo's grain / dairy free "mac n cheese" tonight!! While it's definitely not pasta under there (I don't personally miss that but I can see how some would) it was a huge hit. 'Uge! Tremendous! I forgot to crisp up bacon so I used some of my EPIC winnings- bacon bits- on top. Also I couldn't find pork rinds or the other option for the topping so I used some Siete chips. 😋 The chives + bacon + sauce stole the dish, imho. Hashtag blessed and other such millennial musings. (Seriously though, thanks for the recipe, Kristen!! 😍). Making this for the next social gathering FOR SURE.

Some of this week's food preppin': roasted asparagus/peppers/broccoli, radishes (from the CSA weeks ago, whoops), and some sweet/white potatoes and carrots that will be going into @tazandbelly's (INSANELY amazing) crockpot beef stew recipe. Like srsly look that ish up. It's @whole30 and one of the best stews I've ever eaten. Perf for paleoistas and standard Americans alike! For the roasted veggies I just drizzle avocado oil (can be coconut or ghee as well), salt, pepp, garlic, and onion powders atop. 400 degrees for 30ish mins. Also ended up sautéing some chopped cabbage and adding @wellshire ham lunchmeat to it since my cabbage was about 6 seconds from fridge decomposition. 🙈 Oh anddddddd made a batch of @againstallgrain's pumpkin spice "cream"er. Basicccccc and proud 🎃💁🏻☕️💕. Dunno where this energy came from but sufficiently worn out now.
If @wholefoods keeps this up, I may have to visit once a day just to see how much stuff I can get for the least amount of 💰 (e.g. 8 packages of bacon. The motherload). Also got 10% off a department of my choice- I picked meat/seafood. I ❤️ you WF.
@wholefoods gave me these eggies fo' free!! Their rewards app is pretty awesome overall. When I logged in, it told me to pick a free reward just because. So naturally I went with the $6 eggs 🍳 that I never feel financially comfy enough to buy lol. YUMMMMM!

Spontaneous burg night 👌🏼. Quick n easy: mix 2 lbs beef, 2 eggs, about a cup of almond flour, salt/pep/garlic/onion powders (or fresh garlic and onions). I added fresh parsley cuz we had some and why not. I made 16 burgers but less would = bigger ones. Crowd. Fave. 👹

Fernbrook Farms this week: 12 peppers (I purposely chose them for stuffed peppers), eggplant, melon, lettuce, onion, and u-pick beans, raspberries, wildflowers, and ground cherries! Exhibits B and C, the children love ground cherries. Twenty five dollas and all organically grown. 😱
Easy, nomtastic, and #latergram summer dinner idea: @wholefoods rotisserie chicken and a tomato/cuc/onion/vinegar salad. Even the 3 y.o.'s were all about it! (Just tell them the veggies came from the farm 😉 .. forreals we were up to elbows in CSA tomatoes). 👦🏻🍅👧🏻
My wonderful MIL got me a "for no reason" gift this week after coming across it in the book store. We picked out 3 recipes for this week!! Also note pic 2: as someone who comes from "only" being able to eat bagels, cereal, pancakes, fruit, or granola bars for breakfast, the switch to being able to eat anything (💡) was mind blowing. Leftover homemade wings and sautéed veggies? Tuna salad and guacamole? Stuffed peppers and sauerkraut? OKAY. It's all on the menu. It's all food. So much easier than needing to find something sweet and "appropriate" for breakfast. Plus I'm not starving and crashing at 9:30am. Other countries practice this on the reg 😊. Sauté the shrimp in coconut oil and garlic, sprinkle with Mrs. Dash lemon pepper. Add zoodles to the pan for the last three minutes and stir. .

#whole30 (mini reset, made it to day 3 so far 😜) can lead to some weird unexpectedly awesome ish. Started with almost caramelizing some onions and peppers, added mushrooms and zuchs, then the bone broth, and finished with canned clams, turmeric, and ghee (salted throughout). Was a little nervous. Meal appeal is quite lacking. But turned out BOMBBBB!! You could sub any protein in there 😏. Also soups are just ze best and this took 15 mins tops. Thanks @hantastic26 for the soup idea on this fine eve.

Ah, to cook in my own kitchen again 😋. Vacation was truly awesome (peep that River Rat cheese zomg!) but I did miss my bed and kitchen amenities. One thing about this vacation, food-wise, that stuck out from all the rest is that I tried my hand at "food freedom"... for the first time ever. I ate and drank things that I personally deem worth it, like gf smores, wine ice cream, Opi's cooking, and locally distilled moonshine, but other than that I stuck to a pretty normal eating routine. I didn't snack mindlessly nor eat when I wasn't hungry, like I usually do on vacation. I came back not feeling terrible in the digestive region, which really is a first for me!! I haven't even finished the book yet, but I HIGHLY recommend @melissa_hartwig's Food Freedom Forever. Our @whole30 goddess is so insanely insightful. If I can (calmly and happily) stick to a vacation plan that keeps me satisfied and not returning home like my typical post-vacay blob-self, I'm pretty sure anyone can. Practice, not perfection. 🙂 Planning on continuing on with a mini reset so I can get some energy back. Thanks again, Melissa! #foodfreedomforever
My first attempt at making almond Nutella was delish 😍🤤. I've always been intrigued by regular Nutella but I'm allergic to hazelnuts so I never got to try it. 🙅This version is really good but I have nothing to compare it to!
