Fernbrook Farms CSA week 4! Bag o' collards (so phenom when sautéed with garlic, salt, and avo oil), butter lettuce, romaine, cabbage head, 10 zuchs/squashes, and thee absolute best snap peas you'll ever ingest- from the U-pick field. I wasn't thinking anything of them until @mcmayhem6 and I tried. Quite unsure how I'll go back to store bought snap peas.... he's actually snacking on them in the other room currently. Guess I'll have to savor the memory of the 4 peas I got. 😂

Breakfast situation on my front stoop 😂 veggies and eggs of course! I tried out making a little nest of carrot noodles for my fried eggs and it actually sorta mostly worked! I used coconut oil and beef marrow fat to cook the carrots and get them nice and crispy on the bottom. A side of sautéed heirloom zucchini and a liberal topping with lots of salt, pepper, and scallion greens completes my meal. Would've been so good with hot sauce too, but I'm at my parents' still so I made do without. Still delicious! #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt

I was seriously craving a chocolate shake last night so I experimented with a chocolate smoothie bowl this morning--roasted butternut squash, 1/4 avocado, 1 raw pastured egg, @vitalproteins collagen peptides, 1 tbsp cacao, 1 tsp manuka honey, stevia to taste, and a 1/2 tsp each of my new #moondeli adaptogenic blends 😌🙏🏻 then I swirled in some macadamia nut butter and topped it with cacao nibs and flaky sea salt. It's not bad, wish I could get it thicker but that would require too-high amounts of avocado or squash to accommodate my #sibohealing diet. I'll continue to experiment and find the perfect chocolate smoothie bowl combo! #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt

After a truly hellish last few days (of finals + packing my whole apartment + friends' graduation which causes intense mixed emotions for me since I'm a transfer student and a year behind my original graduating class) I'm home with my parents for a week of sleeping, relaxing, and self-care 🙏🏻 I'm already feeling a lot better after my first full night of sleep in a week and this nice breakfast, enjoyed on our beautiful patio--grilled grass-fed steak, a sunyside duck egg, and a few slices of heirloom tomato with olive oil and sea salt and basil 🍖🍳🍅🍃 I'll begin my SIBO treatment in earnest this week while I have ample space to rest. Look, I'll be honest... I was really apprehensive about the fish, but I've got a rule of "Don't knock it, until you've tried it". Guys, it rocked. It was awesome. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due. You're totally helping me get back on the bandwagon. 
This is my second round of meals from @aussie_meal_prep_darwin and I changed it up a little. I reduced the calorie intake because I reckon I was overeating with the extras I was adding in like starchy carbs, healthy fats and @nomnompaleo Onion Gravy. I chose the "Performance Meal Plan" to add in those carbs without having to do it myself. So happy with the choice.

Diet ✔ Training ❌

I'll get there. Once you get those runners on, you're never going to quit. See you Monday @crossfit_palmerston

Proving to myself that I can eat well even during the hectic mess that is finals week for a university student 😝 2 eggs fried in narrow fat from roasted beef bones (currently in my slow cooker), a side of plain roasted veggies from Whole Foods--seriously so convenient and most are #lowfodmap!--dressed up with olive oil and salt, and a collagen tea latte made with an herbal chai blend I bought at a farmers market in Knoxville this weekend. It contains holy basil! 🙏🏻🍃I've been making it a point to consume more #adaptogenic herbs and spices to help heal slightly over-reactive cortisol in my body so I pounced on it when I saw it! #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt

I'm always like... how to make a latte-esque concoction similar to StarB's or Whole Foods? There's gotta be a way, eh?! Tried a YouTube vid for frothing milk without a machine (shake milk for 60 seconds, microwave for 30 seconds). They used low fat milk so naturally I tried full fat coconut 😏. Then my dumb butt poured the coffee into the milk instead of the other way around. Still happy with it though! Next time I'll do it the other way. Cheers! ☕️

Spiced ground beef with arugula, zucchini, and cilantro and a broken up boiled egg, microwaved then topped with coconut oil, a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds, and some good REAL sea salt (yes i brought my own salt!). Delicious--actually though--blood sugar stabilizing, and mega nutrient dense! I knew that semi-rural Tennessee wouldn't be able to accommodate my dietary needs so packing my own food was a great option instead. For all y'allz who think I'm some perfect supermama (*I* do not think this whatsoever) it'll be my third garden attempt after the first two failed hahaha. One of these years it'll catch 🤞🏼👍🏼

Travel day! I'm excited to go to Tennessee for my cousin's wedding and I'm also going prepared 👊🏻🛫 here's everything I'll be taking to eat this weekend: ground beef cooked with zucchini and lots of arugula and Mexican spices; roasted carrots and sautéed bok choy; boiled eggs; sprouted pumpkin seeds, freeze dried raspberries, and salt and vinegar coconut chips (excited to try these!); dried black olives; Kor turmeric and ginger shots (an easy thing to take with you to get a dose of wellness in during long travel days since they're small!); coconut butter, manuka honey singles, stevia, @vitalproteins collagen sticks, an olive oil single, coconut aminos, and coconut oil in the little glass jar that used to have duck fat in it! We'll be in a hotel with a mini fridge and microwave, so I'm also going to pick up some veggies while there to steam, and there's a Whole Foods nearby thankfully so I can get fish cooked to order at their fish counter, or a baked rotisserie chicken! #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt #healthytravel #travellingwithsibo

Kind of a gloomy morning here so I made a super warm and cozy breakfast to compensate #sunshineinmybowl ☀️ makeshift spaghetti squash carbonara of sorts, no recipe just me being inventive--leftover squash cooked in full-fat coconut milk with chives, @pedersonsfarms wonderful sugar free bacon, salt and pepper, and topped with an egg fried in the bacon fat! I drizzled everything with butter and garlic flavored olive oils to finish. It was really good! I'm gonna go make a #bulletproof tea latte now to up my protein a bit and I'll be quite satisfied 🤗 #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt

I'm bringing turkey burgers to grill and I plan on wrapping them in collard greens, after adding grilled peppers and eggplant and smothering them in homemade chive aioli and homemade ketchup (to which I added a little bit of honey shhh don't tell the bacteria). Also check out that pretty heirloom zucchini up top! It's an Italian variety describe as flavorful and nutty. I'm actually quite excited to see how it turns out! #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt

Huge #brinner today! Yesterday's wasn't quite substantial enough so I've got more protein, more veggies, and more fats in this one because #adrenalhealth. I made this all this morning--crispy red kale in coconut oil, whole roasted red bell pepper, and a massive chicken breast with my lemon-turmeric-paprika rub (recipe back in feed--it's delishhhh). Drizzled the whole thing with more olive oil and lots of grey Celtic salt, which my body has been mad craving lately! Time to tuck in 🍽 #sibosucksbutmyfooddoesnt
