It was a two coffee kinda Friday today! It’s been a long week of staring at the computer! BUT it’s Friday and that means casual Friday AND two days with my hubby and baby! 👏👏 What are your plans for the weekend? .
I wish I could post some cute family photo from her awesome first Thanksgiving, but that’s not life. Amelia is sick, so we spent 90% of the day in bed snuggling and was able to pop into our family dinner for a little bit before heading home with a crabby baby (we didn’t even make it to dessert!) There’s been hysterical crying and lots of snot, but she’s finally asleep now (in our bed, which almost never happens) hoping tomorrow is a better day! Enjoy our thanksgiving family photo featuring my arm, a (now) sweet looking baby and Andrey already asleep in the background. #happythanksgiving#ameliamaeshelest#momlife#reality#parentinglife#nodessertforme
Bismillah.. Assalamu'alaikum Ayah/Bunda,

Matt often has to listen to me rant about what a hard day I've had with G. He's usually the voice of reason and is able to keep his cool on days when I'm close to tears.
Today Matt experienced one of those hard days.
The days when you wake up with whinging and tears. It's followed by constant nos and telling offs.
The days when they aren't listening and it's a relentless cycle of starting an activity only for them to walk off an do something they shouldn't be.
The tantrums and instant mind changes come thick and fast. Yoi know its not intentional but it can feel like their only objective is to wind mummy and daddy up.
When bedtime comes you are close to tears. It's exhausting emotionally and mentally.
Matt left the room a few times because he felt overwhelmed and confused. He hates telling G off so after the 6th time he had had enough. And every time Matt told him off G ran to me and whinged and cried.
I felt for Matt today. He really felt the crappier side of parenting. It took him by surprised and he got angry. Not at G but at not knowing what to do to make things right. It's hard for mum's and dads. .
This pic was taken on a break from the madness. Playing a golf game on the iPad
I always have so much fun putting these together for the girls. These are their Thanksgiving bags, but I used a container instead. I did an art theme this year. I also bought almost everything from the dollar store! 🎨

Finley sampling my christmassy baked goods today. His first ever mince pie to be exact. They must be alright, he inhaled a whole one in about 30 seconds.
Meet Honey (left) and Bunny (right), my two cats. Previously adored before Pram & Chain arrived. I still like having them around. But having something else to look after as well as a small child is something I've found really challenging since my daughter arrived over a year ago. Telling other people how I feel has shown the subject is a bit controversial too. So I wrote a blog about it here: https://pramandchain.com/2017/11/23/making-love-that-lasts-loving-your-fur-babies-after-real-babies/. Has the way you feel about your pets changed since having children? You're not alone. How did you handle it?
The holiday season can be tough for families when you’ve recently lost someone close. Inevitably, traditions will change. Maybe that loved one used to host Thanksgiving or always brought a special dessert. Maybe your family plays board games over the holidays and your children will miss that special person not being there. Talk about the changes. Ask your children what will be different now that your loved one is gone and ask what they would like to do to honor them. Many people like to start new traditions, such as leaving a plate for your loved one at the table or doing a turkey trot race in their honor. Brainstorm as a family any new tradition(s) you may like that will help everyone to experience healing and peace.
We get asked a lot do you think Milly will be a tomboy? And tbh I don't know and don't care as long as she is happy!
But she is a real girly girl the only reason people ask is because she loves football!
She really does love football but she loves everything! Because she is nearly 2. I don't mind what toys she plays with wether it is so called "girls" toys or "boys" toys all I care about is her happiness .
But we live in 2017 where everything is basically excepted by most people except girls playing football! Football to most people is still a "boys" sport even though the England womens team did far better than the mens (just a side note)
So my answer to that question is No I don't think she will be a "tomboy" I think she will be a girl who loves football, but also loves to dance, swim, play in the mud and just be a child and a happy one at that because we let her play with whatever toys she wants to play with, do things that "boys" do.
Because to Milly they are just toys they are not boys or girls toys they are just toys she likes to play with! The activites she does are not girls or boys they are just things she finds fun to do and that make her happy and Tbh that is all we care about, Milly being a happy and healthy child.
So with christmas coming up If your daughter wants a truck let her have it if your son want's a baby doll and pram let him have it because the only thing it will make them is happy! And I fon't know any parent who dosen't want there child to be happy!
Sorry for the long post and thank you for reading. I would love any opinions do you agree or not ? 😁😙 xx
While this is funny, the truth is that we serve rolls by lobbing them across the table. We enjoy plenty of wine, and if you don’t laugh so hard that you pee a little, what’s the point?! Just enjoy all that is yours if you’re willing to SEE! 💜

So we’re not an American family at all, but having spent many Thanksgiving Thursdays in New York with American friends I’m a big fan of this tradition. Any day where you get together with those you care about to be grateful for each other without the promise of presents but just to be together - and eat A LOT! Is my type of holiday!
🍖I always cook a Thanksgiving meal for my children now. Just to remind them to be a bit more mindful about how fortunate they are.
So we are having an ‘adapted’ Thanksgiving meal of Turkey with a Parmesan crust, sprouts instead of peas and mashed potato with marshmallows! Odd combination but an authentic one! Followed by a pecan and maple cheesecake instead of Pecan pie.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my lovely American pals!! Bacio! #happythanksgiving2017#bethankfulalways#mammaprada 👩🏻💋🐥
"Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite" - we say it but do you know what "sleep tight" even means?
To me, it means sleep securely knowing you are safe and you are loved.
And that's a recipe for sleep success!
