Evening Tea at #saffronstays Master Courtyard in Gholvad was with dollops of Parsi influence.
The small light brown butter biscuits are batasa (savory) which go well with tea and the dark brown ones are the sweet Bhakara which are Parsi Donuts.
I loved the bhakara more than the regular donuts. Made of maida, sugar, eggs and a secret ingredient toddy which is very much used only in Gholvad.

Yesterday, I got the honour to host a cooking class for none other than #vikramvij of the esteemed @eatdrinkvijs who is here from Canada touring India and exploring its food history with a group of his friends. When I first heard I would be teaching him a bit about Parsi food I was incredibly nervous - after all, aside from my kitchen I've never actually worked in a professional kitchen. But, Chef Vikram is such an amazing and humble person that I had the time of my life teaching them how to rustle up Sali Chicken and Kebabs and feeding them some lunch afterwards. .
The cherry on the cake was having the Salli Tuna that #vikramvij cooked alongside me - #yummyinmytummy !!
