Everything is coming together! The Wonky Warriors team are now merging the two versions of their game and relying on Luke to mend any bugs that may have been a result of the merging. The rest of the group are now finishing off character animations, particle effects and working with their newest recruit, John to bring their game to life with sound! #introducingJohn
Dani has been using 'Mixamo' to rig the characters this week, and is about to begin work on the particle effects. These are for things like bubbling water in the sink, or when the characters throw breakable objects that explode and create an effect. Meanwhile, Matt is working on the cinematic to add the 'story-driven' aspect of the game. This is where the characters tell the story between scenes, which will all be voiced by Matt himself! 👏😎 #GameDevelopment
Here is my final for #LevelDesign 1, I know what you are gonna say and let me stop you right there
1: I didn't run out of time
2: I wasn't being lazy
The main focus of the final was to #model this cabin/shack and have it properly #scaled and #textured . I did in fact model it very nicely and I added a few assets to enhance it a bit, I do have proper #UVsheets but what ended up happening is that the textures were way too gross for my liking and I had pretty good textures (I even planned to have some with #alphachannels ). My professor helped me scale it proper and I added some decent #animations and #particleeffects .
the only problems that I faced were that a few UVs were reversed and I chose not to add the textures, which costed me my final grade. Its funny how I focused more on the #setdressing aspect (which was only extra credit that I most likely am not getting) instead of the directions that were given to me. All I know is that I am going to have to swallow my pride for next session and just try even harder.
