There's always the "I wish I could do this or be that.." hopeful wishing. But what are we doing to get ourselves closer to those things? If it's playing an instrument start with 20-30 minutes of practice, learning a new language? Practice a phrase a day if that's all you have. Set an intention to write one entry a day, one drawing to be completed every week. Put in some time into exploring whatever it is that excites you, that relieves you from a stressful day. In creating this habit you'll soon want to put in more and more time. It'll gradually become apart of you. This is where passion arises. And it could be dwelling into two or three different activities you find yourself attracted to. There's this stigma that we need to choose ONE thing an hone in on it. We may not all fit into this category, atleast not in the beginning of our journey. Being multi-talented just gives you a chance to expand yourself and reach a number of different communities.Take a yoga class, become apart of a writing group, find a community that shares your same interests, find people who are already doing the things you would one day like to do. Allow yourself to freely venture into your passions. #passionproject#passionrevolution#purpose#perserverance#meaning#writing#writingcommunity#writingblog#selflove#growing#empowerment#mindset#thoughts#writer#read#educate#opportunity#empower#gratitude#growth#patience#meditation#strength#potential#selfheal#humble#motivation#mentalhealth
How many of you have incredible side gigs? For me, photography is my weekend-evening-freetime world. During the week I have a non-photography -- though still wonderfully creative -- job. And while holding down the two (plus the other *jobs* of mom, wife, and all that that brings) certainly does nothing for opening up pockets of lazy, quiet time, it also means I feel fortunate to fall into that incredibly rare category of those of us who "do what we love" for a living, even if that means doing a bunch of different things. (Have I mentioned my recent obsession with hand weaving?) So, while I adore documenting my own family's days, there is something that lights a different fire under me when I get to spend time capturing the moments between other families. I have a few sessions coming up this weekend, including a shoot with one of my most favourite families who continue to ask me back year after year. And it's those occasions where the line seems to blur between day job and side gig and everything just smudges together into this being my life. And for that, I'm pretty jazzed ❤
Calling all London food truck owners and street food stalls!
#ldnfoodtrucks is changing and we would love to for you to help us with this change.
Our vision for London Food Trucks, from the beginning was to highlight not only the amazing food on London's streets but also the amazing community that surrounds it. We want this account to help build that community and help show the people behind the food trucks, the stories, the passion and work that goes into feeding hungry Londoners everyday.
From now on, when we feature a truck we want to also feature your story in the caption, whether this is the reason why you started, or even just a funny snippet from your working life. We want to get to know you.
If you would like to get involved please message us, we can't wait to hear from you!

"Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.”

Since deciding to start this #JourneyToHealthy about a month ago, my little family has gone through a lot! My son and I both caught an AWFUL stomach bug, my daughter had ANOTHER round of double ear infections, Hurricane Irma was heading towards us, then she wasn't, then she was, and finally she didn't, and because my daughter had 7 million ear infections in the last 9 months, she needed tubes ASAP. I made the decision to step away from this #PassionProject and focus on my family. Luckily, things seem to be back to their usual chaos and I'm excited to refocus on this journey!
I've been a little quiet around here... and for good reason, I promise. 😉
As I've gone through these huge transitions of moving to Oregon, leaving my zookeeping career, and going through pregnancy all the while... a lot has shifted in my mindset and direction in life. Of course, we can never predict how we will react in these types of major life transitions, but here I am- feeling like a much different person than I did 6 months ago! It's been MUCH harder for me to even share my feelings as I process things, because SO MUCH has changed.
My heart has been tugging me in a few different directions lately. I've been wanting to drastically change the way that I run my business as a coach, so that I can really do it EXACTLY how I want to, and help women in an even deeper way than I was before with their health & fitness. I LOVE what I do as a coach, but I knew I've been needing to prune my business (so to speak) and really cultivate something amazing. 🌿
So- with all that being said- I'm going to be launching a totally new (revolutionary to me!) •FREE• community group here on Facebook where we all can SHARE our journeys in life together in a safe space and help support each other as women- taking care of ourselves and learning how to practice the best self-care possible.
I'll be pouring into it MY journey and what I do as a coach, how I navigate health and wellness, what I've learned about self-care, pregnancy... everything I care about- even talking about DOGS and animals and lifestyle choices! 🙆🏼 Essentially, I want to create a space for other women that identify with any aspect of this lifestyle to really LEARN, share, and grow toward being the best version of themselves possible.
It will be open to anyone, and launching really soon. It's something I REALLY care about and feel passionately about- so the content is being created with care and SO much love, which takes time... especially when you're 8 months pregnant. 😂
This will be distinctly different from the normal monthly wellness accountability groups I do, and totally experimental, but I'm really excited to try it out and share with y'all how it goes!
If you're interested in learning more and wa

I remember the feeling of being in the same old pickle....
I wanted to FEEL better, but I didn't want to watch what I ate.
I wanted to be more confident, but I didn't want to exercise.
I wanted to be leaner and stronger, but had no clue where to even start.
No, it's NOT about a certain size or shape. But it IS about being healthy, HAPPY, and loving yourself 💗 And where my happy is doesn't have to match anyone else's "happy," and the same for YOU! .
So here's the deal: neither path is easy. ✌🏼 It's hard to always to feel like you've disappointed yourself, but I totally get that it's hard to face changing your habits.
But YOU GUYS. When I needed help the most, I found a community to help me make that transition easier. And guess who is here for YOU 🙋🏼 (meeeeee!)
I can't promise I'll help you find perfection, but I can promise I'll help you find progress and a BALANCE that suits YOU.
If you're ready to stop being in that SAME pickle of WANTING to be different, yet scared to change....hit me up. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻Comment below "IT'S MY TIME"
I'll have your back girl 💗💗💗 (As long as you promise to help ME stay accountable too because we can all always use more encouragement and support)!!
Excited for a big night at the @contemporaryatx this Friday. It will be a night to kick off some serious showcases with John Bock, Ryan Gander & Wangechi Mutu. There will be live music on the rooftop by @tomarandthefcs, food from @peachedtortilla and beverages from @fallcreekvineyards, @dsvodka, @circlebrew and of course yours truly.
Find time in each day to do at least one thing that makes your heart smile, even if it's something small 💖.
I think that's the one thing I am most grateful for with this coaching business. It has given me an avenue to revisit and explore my interests and get back to the things that I'm most passionate about ✨. I have always been a crafty person and growing up I continually found myself working on something creative 🖌️. That slipped away as I got older and found myself more and more in the "real world". But this week, I am virtually guiding a group of girl girls through a fall themed DIY project 🍃🍂🍁! Something I never saw myself doing until this opportunity came around.
While my health and fitness come first 💪, I love that "coaching" can be applied so widely. It allows you to live and run your life the way you want to. At the end of this month, I'm hosting a free info session about what it means to be a coach. So if you've been sharing your own journey and want to learn how to make an income by doing the things you love, I'd love for you to be apart of it so you can see makes this opportunity so amazing 💖. Send me a DM or shoot me an email (address in bio 👆) and we'll chat about the details! .
Finally showing off the magic of these little books that are handmade with love ❤️ Each book holds 40 photos if both sides are completed. I provide you with templates to cut the photos into 4 by 4 inch squares and triangles that fit perfectly inside. All you need is a pair of scissors, a glue stick and 40 printed photos. These origami scrapbooks are the perfect gift, whether filled with photos already or blank. Thanks for letting me share my passion project with you 🤗
Day 5 #lovinliferevolution - Define a purpose. Identify what you want your life to communicate and contribute. Find a passion to live for that is bigger than yourself. Write it down. It will bring new meaning to your life. It will wake you from the slow death of only living for yourself. ✨ My purpose is to inspire and empower others to live their happiest and best life ever by making simple intentional choices. Just like this picture shows me nursing my sweet babe, I refuse to get caught up in what society thinks is right for me and I don't worry about being accepted by all... I live for me and my family and make true decisions that reflect that only! WHAT'S YOUR PURPOSE?
I love working with customers to create their very own creations. Anna from California wanted a slimmer version of an existing headband with the knot off centre. I love the result so much I'm added this style to the SS17/18 collection, coming soon!
Guest post from @courtchauu on our biggest shared love, noodles! I'm also jealous she got this big bowl for under $8 - a good enough reason for me to move back to LA 😂 .
"Kosuke is one of those 626 noodle joints that is always poppin. Luckily I went after the dinner rush and was seated right away. There were tons of noodle choices, but I opted with my usual, the spicy ramen, and it did not disappoint! The noodles were perfectly chewy and the pork broth was intensely flavorful. As for the protein, they give you the choice of melt-in-your-mouth chashu or popcorn chicken, which they serve on the side to prevent a soggy mess in your bowl. My only complaint was that the egg wasn't soft boiled :( and that we had to wait a while for my friends food, causing some of my soup to absorb."
