“The only limits that exist are in your mind.
Doubt kills more dreams than fear ever will.” Wise words from @autumncalabrese during tonight’s total body core workout. Last night I had a restless night of sleep where I had nightmares and then couldn’t fall back to sleep. I found myself starting to doze off on the couch after work tonight and made myself get up and push play on my workout. It’s so easy to let doubts creep in and take over. How many times have you found yourself in a battle where you let your doubts crush the goals you had? 🙋🏻♀️ Yep, that’s me. I used to let all of my fears and doubts control the direction my life was going. I would get inside my own head and keep myself from achieving the dreams I had because my doubts made me fearful and I would crawl back in my shell and watch life pass me by.
Today I was walking into a school for a group and I was thinking about how the old me would have been petrified walking into a new situation where I didn’t know anyone and I would have a battle raging inside my head because to me, I thought those school employees would doubt my abilities and wonder how I got this job. Today the thought in my head as I walked in to a new school and a new situation was the confidence I had in the lesson I had prepared and the excitement I was feeling over a new partnership with a new school.
What are you letting hold you back from the dreams you have? I know you’re probably thinking I’m crazy when I say working out and taking care of my body gives me confidence but it’s true. Not only am I getting stronger physically, but I’m getting stronger mentally too. YOU can have this same strength! I can help equip you with the tools you need to become the strongest version of yourself possible so you can chase after the dreams you’ve always wanted. What are you waiting for?! Stop watching life pass you by and start living your best life today! ❤️ #80daysofiwill#beinspired#lifechange#livingmybestlife#80dayobsession#transformation#gettingstrongereveryday#pcos#pcosawareness#pcosfitness#pcoshealth#nevermissamonday
This weekend I learned a lot about faith. Not only in God but in yourself.
One thing that really stuck out to me was.... “if you don’t have faith you have fear”
Stop living in fear of failing. Or fear of what tomorrow might bring. Or fear of what others might think.
Just believe and have faith ✝️
Gratitude is the attitude and I have to work on it. I’ve been focusing so much on what I don’t have that I forget to appreciate what I do. I don’t know what the future holds for me but I can only hope that good things are coming. In the meantime, I’ll make sure to be thankful for all the good and even the bad that comes my way
Stages of Readiness to Change
1) Pre-contemplation: not thinking a problem really exists.
2) Contemplation: Considering a change “sometime.
3) Preparation: planning the change ex: “New Years Resolution”
4) Action: Engaged in change behavior
5) Maintenance: 6 months or more of change behavior.
6) Relapse- fell off the wagon and needs a jumpstart.
What stage are you at?! Comment below #weightloss#dangerouslyfitt#pcosfitness#pcosweightlossjourney#change#fitness
This sweet girl is still smiling through her discomfort. Still not sure what is causing her ear pain so we may be taking a trip to the doctor just in case it's more than teething. She is really not wanting much else than cuddles right now and this tired mommy is totally ok with that after a long day of pitching lessons. 💞 Thankful for daddy getting some meal prep done for us tonight so we will be ready to go for week 2 of 13 tomorrow! @ramblinmanfromalabam
Everyone knows that exercise is good for you, but do you actually know just HOW good it is? 💪🏼 Keeping fit and incorporating a healthy exercise regime into my daily lifestyle is one of my highest priorities. Not only does it help with weight loss but it also helps with the following: 👊 Improves your mood
👊 Boosts your energy levels 👊 Combats health conditions & diseases 👊 Promotes better sleep
👊 Puts the spark back into your sex life 👊 Can be fun & social!
Let's get moving! 🏃
Back at it after two colds, a stomach virus, and an eye surgery. I am blind as a bat, super light-sensitive, and I’m pretty sure I sprained my thumb but I’m still here!
Some days you get thrown a curve ball and you need to make adjustments when they do. We try our best to plan but especially as parents, there needs to be some room for flexibility. Today was my curve ball day. Wake up call from my daughter at 2:45, followed by hysterical screaming at 5:30am during our preworkout meal, followed by an extra hour of sleep in her bed and couch cuddles with Mickey on the TV.
Meal prep can in handy for sure today, even if my meals weren't timed like they needed to be. My workout may have been a little later in the day, but that's ok. The great thing about having my workouts ready at the push of a button is that I can get it done as my day allows. And if I need to push pause because my toddler demands that "mommy holds you"...then I can make that happen and come back to it when I can. Flexibility makes life easier since 2 year olds seem to have trouble understanding schedules.
A workout done (be it ugly and/or in stages) is better than no workout at all.
S U P P O R T ✨ Thank you to those that do not have Pcos that have followed my page...especially men. One of my biggest goals is to raise awareness of Pcos in hopes of creating more understanding individuals outside of the Pcos community. Having the proper support from relatives, partners (dating), and friends is so important for women with Pcos. Yes health and self-esteem improvement begins with us, but having the support of those around us can play a very important role in overcoming Pcos difficulties.
Spending a lazy Saturday in our pj's and watching some Winnie the Pooh. Abby woke up screaming around 5:30am as we were having our preworkout meal. She complained of her ear hurting and only wanted mommy.
Finally got some Tylenol her when she calmed down and we laid in her bed together until she went back to sleep. She has still been complaining of her ear but seems to be doing ok other than the occasional grumps.
Mommy will gladly provide all the cuddles this morning. Glad my trainer is flexible to my mommy schedule ☺️
Woke up at 9am on a Saturday so that I can:
✅kill my workout
✅meal plan and prep for week 2, and
✅finally fold the pile of laundry that’s been on my couch this whole week 😂
Happy Saturday folks! What’s on your agenda for the day??
Cheesy mushroomy spinachy egg cups.
These make the perfect #pcosfitfighter prep-the-night-before breakfast or brunch party dish.
Ingredients (makes 12 cups):
* 6 eggs (or egg whites equivalent)
* 1/2 cup almond milk
* 125g mushrooms
* 2 handfuls spinach
* 50g cheese (I used @violife_foods vegan cheese)
* Oil spray
* Seasoning of choice (I used salt, pepper & 'Italian herbs')
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and grease a 12-muffin tin with oil spray.
2. Finely chop mushrooms and spinach.
3. Grate cheese.
4. Whisk together eggs, almond milk, cheese and seasoning.
5. Stir mushrooms and spinach into egg mixture.
6. Pour mixture into muffin tin and bake for around 20-25 minutes (you can stick a toothpick in the middle to check its cooked through).
7. Leave to cool for 5 mins before removing from muffin tin.
8. Either eat straight away or let properly cool and then store in an airtight container in the fridge.
(Fyi I know they look a bit blue, but it's just the spinach underneath the egg, I promise!)
This shirt was perfect for today’s workout. -
No pain, No champagne.
Today was leg day. So there was definitely pain. And although there wasn’t champagne to celebrate after, I will be celebrating with a 3 day weekend!
