Three pregnancies, two babies, one miscarriage, a divorce, three homes, five different jobs, while fighting a case of sexual harassment, caring for lumps in my body, and a messy transcript and six years later, this actually arrived in the mail. I want every woman to know that if I can do this so can you. "I am my ancestors wildest dreams". Let the real fun begin... - Carolina Pereira Miranda
So she thinks she’s still a little baby who always used to sit on my lap....if you only knew her story and what she had to go through to get where she is today....here goes her story in brief segment:
Her name is Melinda, my niece. Her parents was divorced when she was 9/10 years old. She was left with me and my husband to take care. Throughout her childhood life she was thrown left and right with no consistent living arrangements. With her parents battling of where their kids should be, she was more determined to make herself to become someone that her parents will be proud of. Through many struggles, hardships, heartaches, tears, and emotional roller coaster, she managed to stay strong and committed to what she was striving for. We sat and stayed up many nights just to talk and let out any frustration that was holding her back and to just lend a shoulder to cry on....
Long story short, the last year of her high school, she had came to me and asked if it’s ok for her to be on her own to pursue her dream career in Mankato with her boyfriend. It was hard to let her go. But I know this would give her a chance to experience life the way she wanted to. The day of her graduation, she had my blessing. Right away after her high school graduation she moved to Mankato to study BSN in Nursing program.
Fast forward: after four and half years of continuous schooling, she graduated with a straight A’s honor roll BSN Nursing.
What no one knew was how hard it was for her to get through the program, the struggles, many sleepless night, and the travel that she had to sacrifice to be apart from her loved ones.. but she kept on going and moving forward no matter how difficult it was for her.
Upon her graduation, she was offered a career at the famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. She is now practicing as Nurse at Rochester Methodist Hospital.
The key point I’m trying to make is when you feel as though you want to give up and afraid if you’re it going to make it, you just have to face that fear and fight what you believe. And that is believing in yourself that you can do it.. my niece was more determined than ever to make her parents proud and to let them know....con’t below⬇️
For all of us on a journey, whether that be weight loss, self-discovery, building a business, establishing relationships ..... it's our own
personal journey. Don't compare yourself to others .... you don't know their past that led them to where they are! We all have our past and can all create our desired future ....DON'T GIVE UP! We can all get to where we TRULY WANT TO .... it just takes dedication, commitment, persistence and consistency. And remember .... there are never FAILURES, only OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN!
Will you pray for impoverished children in #Kenya today? Pray that hurting children will find people, like teachers, community leaders, and Operation Blessing staff, who will pour into their lives, teaching them the life skills like #leadership , #teamwork , and #persistence .
