Good fats vs. bad fats
Since fat is an important part of a healthy diet, rather than adopting a low-fat diet, it’s more important to focus on eating more beneficial “good” fats and limiting harmful “bad” fats.
Healthy or “good” fats
Monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats are known as the “good fats” because they are good for your heart, your cholesterol, and your overall health. These fats can help to:
Lower the risk of heart disease and stroke.Lower bad LDL cholesterol levels, while increasing good HDL.Prevent abnormal heart rhythms.Lower triglycerides associated with heart disease and fight inflammation.
Unhealthy or “bad” fats
Trans fat. Small amounts of naturally occurring trans fats can be found in meat and dairy products but it’s artificial trans fats that are considered dangerous. This is the worst type of fat since it not only raises bad LDL cholesterol but also lower good HDL levels. Artificial trans fats can also create inflammation, which is linked to heart disease, stroke, and other chronic conditions and contributes to insulin resistance, which increases the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
In the U.S., the FDA is making inroads into outlawing the use of artificial trans-fats in commercially prepared food, but it’s still important to carefully read food labels.No amount of artificial trans fat is considered safe so aim to eliminate it from your diet.
Saturated fat. While not as harmful as trans fat, saturated fat can raise bad LDL cholesterol and too much can negatively impact heart health, so it’s best consumed in moderation. While there’s no need to cut out all saturated fat from your diet, most nutrition experts recommend limiting saturated fat to 10% of your daily calories. .

I know what it feels like to compare yourself.
I know what it feels like to have low self value, to pick apart how you look and everything about yourself. I know what it’s like to put pressure on yourself to look a certain way, be a certain way, act a certain way, under the false belief that that’s the only right way.. I know what’s like to hate on yourself so much purely for what you look like that all you can do is cry.. but there is so much more to offer than what you look like. I know what all that feels like because I have felt it all before.. I may not be 100% great at it yet, I’ve mastered a lot, I’ve learnt a lot, I know a lot and I’m good at teaching a lot but there’s still a never ending abundance of things to continue learning about training your mind and learning to love yourself, and just like EVERYTHING, it’s takes consistent work, every, single, day.
The most important thing I learned about all of it?.. it comes down to CHOICE, and that choice is always yours.. so I will continue to be honest about my journey, to share it and to continue to share content that is genuine and vibes with my truth and my purpose in order to teach others, educate them, and help them learn to make the choice of love for themselves.. This is probably not what I was thinking when this photo was taken 😆 but it’s probably more important than whatever I was thinking! .

Going to be a while before i can work around my hips again but i have a super long list of stuff to work on whilst they are out of action, starting with my shoulder and lat flexibility to better stack my Handstand.
Super lucky the injury isn’t worse and super lucky for all of the opportunity afforded to me. Can’t wait to take advantage of it and work my butt off (figuratively this time and not literally!!)

🎄It’s Christmas time and that can put a lot of people on edge in terms of nutrition, especially those who are adjusting their intake to lose some body fat. .
🎄Having a few days that you’re eating a higher caloric amount than what you’d usually do may cause you to think that you’re going to un-do all your hard work....what if I told you it wouldn’t...?🤔
🎄A new research paper recently came out showing that a group of obese males who dieted for 30 weeks at 67% of their maintenance calories but introduced a 14 day “diet break” (eating back up at maintenance calories) every 2 weeks for the 30 weeks, compared to a group that dieted on the same 67% of their maintenance with ❌ no diet breaks. .
The diet break group had 50% more fat lost with no extra muscle loss and has less metabolic slowdown compared to the second group. .

🎄Well, coincidentally as the Christmas food starts to get more and more - if you are someone who is focussing on dieting, I challenge you to relax a little and not to stress over the food you may consume.
