I'm deloading this week, which means I'm breaking off the heavier weights and high intensity cardio. Your #muscles and your CNS needs the occasional recovery time to prevent burnout and overtraining. I aim to do a week of moderate, steady state #cardio and high rep/light weight full body training with #ab work every 2-3 months. Because I train #abs more often during these periods I separate my #obliques and rectus abdominus.
Today I did 60 min of steady state cardio (keeping my heart rate between 135-155 BPM) and 4 circuits of 4 back to back oblique moves.

Unilateral movements are when you isolate a single side/muscle. This allows you to focus on each side individually and aids in a greater mind muscle connection. Here are two different examples of how to do this. First clip the other side is completely relaxed. Second clip I'm performing an isometric contraction while isolating the other side.
