"I captured this image of Mt. Hood's shadow on a climb with friends last summer. I've started carrying a fisheye lens on all my trips and it proved really useful here. This wide perspective let's me capture the whole landscape while staying in close proximity to my subject. I try hard to keep people near the middle of the image to avoid distortion, but otherwise I love the dramatic vantage it gives when I want to showcase a broad landscape.
